Chapter 4. Angel From Hell

"Your Lucy? I see," An old man looked at her up and down. Lucy gave the paper to the man and let the breeze carry her hair.

"I want to be on your team, I need you," Lucy said to Natsu at the Garden. Natsu smiled to himself before getting up from his step.

"I need you too, I hope you pass, then, I get to see you more," Natsu said to her. Natsu flushed red before smoothly recovering, "You know, for comfort and for our friendship," Lucy laughed before looking at him.

"Yeah, thanks for your support!"

"Yes, I am Lucy," She said to the man. He was short and had an orange had on that matched his attire.

"Come on, show me your magic," The man said. He could hear rattling from a pouch from her waist but she hadn't even taken anything out from there. 

"This spell is a mental one and the next would be for strength," Lucy said. She took a deep breath in and chanted a small spell under her breath. She opened one of her eyes while she was uttering the words and could see Natsu behind a rose bush with Gray and Erza. Lucy smiled before finishing the spell.

All the dead flowers regrew and the cloudy skies vanished. Slowly, the flowers vanished and the castle walls and gates vanished. The floor beneath them dissolved before their eyes. 

Lucy's finger twitched as she knew she had done it for long enough and undone the spell. The old man looked at the test dummies at the other side of the field and silently watched. Lucy slowly muttered some words that he was sure he had heard before. Before his eyes, he could the all the planets and stars, all surrounding the dummies and crushing them into pieces.

He had thought that Erza's interview was violent and beautiful but this had hit the mark. "Nobody informed me that you had angelic powers," The man said.

"I wanted to get in on my own merits," Lucy said as she watched the ashes of the dummies scatter through the sky.

"I'll tell you my answer tomorrow," He said before leaving his post. Lucy exhaled quickly and said, "I know you're there Natsu, Gray, Erza!" 

They walked out of their hiding spots and guiltily walked over. "Natsu wanted to see you and spied on you, I tried to tell them you'd get mad but they didn't listen," Erza said.

"Huh, don't bring me into this!" Gray muttered. Erza laughed a bit before reframing herself and watched the two talk.

"Don't worry, you lot helped me! I remember Erza saying that Natsu wanted to be free so, I helped him get it for thirty seconds," Lucy said. Natsu choked on his own breath before speaking.

"She told you that, I get it, thanks! It felt nice and you're really powerful!" Natsu said. Lucy sighed and saw on the nearest bench.

"That was really scary!" Lucy said.

"Well, you're gonna get in! I can tell by the face he had!" Gray said.

"I have a question before I came in through the gates, there was this man and he had to show his ID, like some phoenix," Lucy said.

"Once you work here, you have to have an ID so we can trust you when you get in, Mira will get you one," Natsu said. He typed something into his phone and showed her a picture of a girl. She had long silver hair and a ruby red dress. Lucy had seen her before in magazines but never imagined she worked here.

"She's one of the chefs and the Head's, Makarov's, assistant! She'll give you advice and anything!" Erza said to her and showed her the tattoo she had on her arm.

"So, let me get this straight, you want me to get some tattoo?" Lucy asked. She hugged her knees and tried to hide.

"You can remove it if you want but it means you can't come in the palace," Natsu said. Lucy nodded slowly before yawning.

"You didn't sleep much, did you?" Natsu asked her.

"No, I was too busy worrying about this!" Lucy said to him. 

"Erza will take you back," Natsu said to her.

"You're in!" Makarov told Lucy first thing in the morning through the halls. "You'll start now! We don't have a meeting now but we have them every Sunday, You'll have a two day break every month that we'll choose for you. And, welcome!" Makarov said befoe leaving.

It took a while to comprehend what the master had just said and she seemed to like it. She walked through the halls and hoped no one had seen her. She wanted to go back home and relax in her bath. "Yo." 

Lucy looked behind her and could see Natsu leaning against the wall. "We're you trying to avoid me?" Natsu asked her and she shook her head. "Then why were you trying to be all sneaky?" He then asked.

"I want to become a ninja..." Lucy lied unsurely.

"Really?!?" Natsu asked. Lucy could see the shine in his eyes. He unwrapped the scarf from around his neck and tied it around his face. "Ninja! Nin Nin!" He joked seriously.

"You're like a little kid!" Lucy giggled. Natsu froze in position and smiled at her. 

"That's because inside he is!" Erza said from behind him. She harshly removed the scarf from his face and passed it to him. He grumbled something and wrapped it once again around his neck.

"That was such a romantic scene!" Gray teased. 

"What the? That wasn't even close, I was trying to cheer the poor girl up!" Natsu said.

"Well, you have to go away on bussiness for a few days,"
