A Prince

Chapter 45. All About Spirits

"As Lucy has taken one of you as her soulmate, it was only the right time to introduce ourselves," 

Lucy and the others were sitting on a carpet in the middle of the mainland. The spirits were going to introduce themselves to them. "Natsu, you got us into her secret," Gajeel grinned.

"Wh--Yes! And this secret is amazing..." Natsu whispered. "Well, too bad Romeo isn't here, do you want me to issue out a report for your magic?" Natsu asked Lucy. It took a lot of courage but he had ended up sitting next to her and holding her hand, surprisingly, she didn't pull away.

"Yeah, that would be sweet, but, I would like to tell Romeo personally, it's sad that he couldn't come, though. Huh, he was too busy on that surprise," She sighed.

"Uh, yeah, what surprise," Natsu asked. Lucy looked behind her to see Wendy listening to what the King had been saying. "Nothing too important,"

"This is Plue," 

"Wait, this is going to take a long time," Lucy whispered.

"Lucy, you never said that you had a spirit who likes books," Levy shook Lucy. She looked up to the shelves and laughed as the shelves were endless up high. "Lucy, do you think I can borrow some if I ask?" Levy asked. It was true, the kingdom was running low on books, and Levy being Levy was upset, this was her chance.

"Just be nice and ask, I'm sure he'll give it," Lucy laughed.

"Lucy, these snow man-dog mutants are...are...so cute..." Gray whispered. Lucy watched as a swarm gave him a hug attack. Gray fell over and hugged them all back.

"I'm glad you like them...but...try not to anger them..." Lucy laughed.

"Please tell me there's a dragon spirit!" Natsu begged Lucy. Whenever Natsu had spoken of dragons, his eyes always sparkled and it felt like he would kill anything or anyone to find out where they reside. But, he never told her why, though.

"Sorry, but, if you want someone wild, you know, just go over to Loke," Lucy laughed. She watched as Natsu slouched over and walked over to Loke. She sighed as she sat over next to Erza. "That's Gemini, they're shy, but, they're also cheeky, just wait and they'd come around," She explained to Erza.

They watched as Gemini came out behind a pillar and began to hover over to Wendy. "So, when Natsu said that you lot got separated, you told your group you had this, you trusted them because Yukino was a Celestial Wizard? Is that it? That you won't trust anyone different to you?" Erza asked.

"No, we were in a dire situation and they were calling out to me, and, I guess Yukino knew all along, I was going to tell you," She whispered. "Loke is the leader of the 12, when he found that humans were killing Celestial Wizards, he wanted me to keep people knowing my magic to a minimum. He knew that I won't be calling on him for a long time, he decided to join the Fire Palace to occupy him. He told me not to follow, so I didn't." Lucy laughed.

"Aquarius began to close herself out, more than usual, she was my mother's spirit, same as Cancer, but I dare say this, I grew very attached to her. You know how Jellal might have been your first friend, she was mine, when she wanted to not be summoned anymore, I was broken. But, that's not like me, but I did respect her wishes. I only summon her when I really need her," 

"Cancer just wants to see me happy. In this day and age, I couldn't go to school since I lost my parents a long time ago, but, he would do my hair and try and fix it so I could make more friends. I don't think he knew how to make friends, all being not being able to by being stuck in here, but, he meant well. He might have been like a dad to me, but, Scorpio takes that spot,"

"He played games with me in place of Aquarius. He's Aquarius' boyfriend, he loves card games mostly. He told me stories of my mother, because all 12 Spirits used to be hers, I'm not ready to talk about that yet. Scorpio would run the bath and hide Aquarius' key, I could tell he was sad. But, he would always tell me that they would go on dates,"

"Gemini, I found them just a year ago, very recent, really. I was in trouble, hiding from someone, but, as always, I'm clumsy and find myself near death by another human. They betrayed their master to save me. They said that they could sense my feelings. that I take care of my spirits better than any other master, they said I could take care of them until the day I day, they would never leave me,"

"Sagittarius taught me how to ride a horse, many animals really. He taught me to love them and not to harm them. He taught me how to protect myself with a bow and would tell me how science would fit in. He taught me everything about science, I could create flaming arrows without a single match. He used to get a panic attack whenever I climbed a tree, worried that I'd fall. It's not like I can poof back here and come back when I'm ready, once I'm gone, I'm gone. He wanted to make sure I lived the life I was meant to, not stop me before I got the chance,"

"Capricorn helped me with everything else. But, the thing he helped me most with was meditation. All this training because I didn't go to school, all the spirits wanted me to become stronger for my own protection. He made sure that I was sane. I guess without him, I would have gone mad. Seriously, Erza, he can read you a poem and you'd drop asleep. He helped a lot throughout the years. If I was attacked during my sessions, I wouldn't know because he was behind the scenes taking care of it."

"Aries was always shy, never did a bad thing in her pretty little life. She was always there to listen to me. I used to be depressed when I was younger, instead of making me feel better, she made me feel worse, in a way, it helped. I got all my problems off my chest and every day, another solution to them appeared, all because of her. If I had told anyone about it, they would have done something different. In a way, she's like Wendy."

"To be honest, they were the people who brought me up when I was young. They all took care of me as if I was their child, even if they do want to ignore," She looked at Aquarius, "She only does it because is she does, she'll want to go back on her promise, she's really stubborn. Well, they're all stubborn. But, that was one thing that made me fall in love with each and every one of them. My choices are theirs, and their choices are mine. That's why I feel hurt when you hurt them, so please, it wasn't my or their fault,"
