The best and most beautiful things in life cannot be seen or touched; they must be felt through the heart.
Helen Keller.
Electric sensation that evoked down their spines at the touch of their lips sent them in the state of numb. Never for once in their entire life, Karishma or Udit thought that they would be forced to encounter such an awkward situation that it will simply make their senses dumb or literally it left them with a foreign feeling developing in the pit of their tummy which was hard for both of them to comprehend.
"Amm, I .....wo," Udit stuttered gaining his composure parting from her but still his weight rested on Karishma's small frame.
Hearing his half words, realization dawn on her and she pushed him with a strong force, that he fell back beside her while she stood up on her feet. Her breathing was erratic due to the giddy feelings rising in her heart, but she maintained a composed look somehow which she herself wasn't sure of.
"What the hell? How dare you push me?" Udit who finally managed to stand with the help of his stick, yelled after he inhaled her fragrance from his right side.
Karishma who was till now debating on what to utter due to the nervousness, was taken aback by his sudden yellings, and gaining her strong resolve, she mocked, "Excuse me, Mr. It's you who were walking in the wrong direction. I heard the sound of your feet but before I could even warn you, you bumped into me. And now you are accusing me, just great".
He gritted his teeth in anger as his fist tightened on his stick, and asked in a harsh tone, "Do you think, this is a playground where you will walk where you feel like? Why aren't you with your caretaker?"
"I could say the same for you, Mr.. And my caretaker, went to do some work, that's why I thought I will move to the dining area since I could feel the smell of the food. Now don't throw another question at me, and apologize for your fault". She stated and ordered coming confidently.
"What??"
"I'll apologize you. Did you lose your memory with the fall?" Udit asked with disbelief evident in his tone.
"I am not deaf that you are yelling your lungs out". She stated as a matter of fact and he took two steps closer to her, his breath fanning on her face making her gulp her saliva down her throat.
"Why are... you... coming.... closer?" She stuttered and she could feel that he was smiling to himself at his victory of making her stutter on her tongue.
"So Ms. Chuckle, you even know how to eat up your own words apart from yelling? That's really interesting". He whispered slowly near her ears and stepped back immediately as he heard the sounds of feet coming towards them.
"Are you both okay? Is anything wrong?" The female caretaker who approached with the male one, inquired scrutinizing Karishma's face. She stood there unable to utter a word while Udit mentally patted himself for shutting her up.
"No, Ma'am there is no problem. Right Ms. Karishma". She heard the victorious reply which came from the guy infront of her and without a doubt, she knew he was feeling too proud of himself. That arrogant jerk!
She nodded in positive as the female caretaker, held her at her wrist but before she could walk past Udit, she mumbled lowly so that only he could hear, "I will make you apologize".
"Whatever makes you sleep at the night, Ms. Chuckle". He replied in his absolute arrogant tone and once she walked off, the male guard helped him to the dining area where rest of the students were gathered around for their first meal with their new batch mates.
If the dinner was a silent affair of the night then the morning in the institute was an absolutely different thing to talk about since everyone was required to be present in the main auditorium for the prayers.
