Chapter 12: What now?

A/N: Sorry but I accidently clicked on the "release" button. And I'm also sorry for not updating sooner but I had a lot of homework to do and a Spanish and an English vocab revision. So here's the full chapter. Hope you enjoy it.

In the forest near Tails' house 8:20 a.m.

Rouge started to cry as she realized that Shadow was gone. Sonic and Amy just stood there not believing what just happened. "No, that can't be happening. I'm just dreaming." Rouge said between sobs. "I think you're not dreaming Rouge." Sonic said with a sad look. "Rouge? ... Are you okay?" Amy asked worried as she put her hand on Rouges shoulder. "Yes Amy, I'm fine. Mephiles just took the most important person in my life away from me." Rouge said and tried to stop crying. "Hah ... so you love him?" Sonic asked. "Sonic!!! Bad moment." Amy replied. "Yes I love him. Are you happy now?" Rouge yelled at Sonic who covered his ears. "Rouge calm down, we'll find Shadow again." Amy said and gave Sonic a glare. "Mephiles can kill him easily. I lost him once before and don't want to lose him again." Rouge said crying. "You will not lose him. Let's go back to Tails' workshop and tell the others." Amy said and took Rouges hand. "I'll call the others." Sonic said but he couldn't find his mobile phone.

"Where's my mobile phone?" Sonic asked still searching. "How should we know?" Rouge replied still a bit angry. "Do you remember where you had it the last time?" Amy asked. "Oh, I know where it is. Thanks Amy." Sonic replied and was about to run back to Tails' workshop but was stopped by Amy. "And where is it?" Amy asked and smiled at Sonic. "Well ... How should I say that? ... Before Shadow and I ran out of the house I made a photo of him and Rouge because they were cuddling." "You did what?" Rouge asked even angrier. "Calm down Rouge, it was just payback." Sonic replied. "And what happened then?" Amy asked impatient. "Then I ran out of the house and bumped into Silver. I gave him my mobile phone and ran into the forest. ... So Silver must have it." Sonic said and ran back to Tails workshop. "HE DID WHAT?" Rouge was now really angry and ran after Sonic. "Hey ... Wait for me!!!!" Amy yelled after them and also started running.

At Tails' house 8:30 a.m.

Silver and Blaze were sitting on the couch and where talking as Sonic almost ran through the door again. "I really need to stop earlier." Sonic said as he entered the living room. "Hi Sonic." Blaze said and Sonic stood now in front of them. "Where are the others?" Silver asked and at the same moment Rouge and Amy came into the house. "Hey guys. Where's " Silver said but was interrupted as Rouge jumped at Sonic and then ran after him because Sonic dodged Rouges kick. "Get back here." Rouge yelled while running after him. "Rouge calm down." Amy commanded while running after Rouge.

"Silver could you please stop them for a few seconds?" Blaze asked as she watched her three friends. "Sure." Silver replied and stopped all of them with his telekinesis. "Hey!!! ... I almost got him." Rouge yelled and looked angry at Silver. "Don't look at me, Blaze wanted me to do that." Silver replied as he saw that Rouge gave him a death glare. "Could you please calm down and tell us what is going on?" Blaze asked and Sonic, Amy and Rouge nodded. "By the way where's Shadow?" Silver asked as he released them from his telekinesis. As Rouge heard Shadows name she began to cry and ran into 'her' room. "What's up with her?" Blaze asked and then looked at the two hedgehogs. "We will tell you later but first we need to get the others." Sonic replied and took his mobile phone from Silver back to call the gang. Silver and Blaze just looked at each other and sat back on the couch.

Amy ran after Rouge and Sonic started to call everyone. After 10 minutes he finished and also sat down on the couch. "And? What happened?" Silver asked impatient. "I will tell you when everyone's here." Sonic said annoyed because Silvers impatience. "I think I will go and look how the girls are doing." Blaze said and went to the guest room.

After 20 minutes was a knock on the door and Sonic answered it. "Hey guys come in, we have a lot to talk about." Sonic said and Knuckles, Tikal, Cream and Tails came in. "Why were we knocking? That's actually my house." Tails asked and Cream said "We were just polite." And everyone sat now in the living room. "Wait here. I will go and get the girls." Silver said. After two minutes the girls were also in the living room. "Well, what was so important that we had to come here?" Knuckles asked a bit annoyed because he had to leave his Master Emerald. Sonic started to explain what happened and why they had to come.

At a secret place

There was a bright light and Mephiles and Rapidus stand with an unconscious Shadow in the middle of a room. "Bring him into his room and make sure that he remains unconscious." Mephiles commanded. "Yes master." Rapidus said and took Shadow. "With Shadows help I can finally get my revenge on this planet." Mephiles thought and began to laugh. Then he also walked into the room where Rapidus should bring Shadow.

Sorry again that it took me so long to continue and that I accidently clicked the wrong button. I hope you enjoyed the story so far, the story continue in the second book "in the light of the moon" (I'm still not sure with the title but whatever).
