The boys walked through Hawkins lab, their plastic suits crinkling in the silence. Hopper walked behind them as they approached the wall sized, gooey portal. "Alright." Hopp said, stopping the boys. "Now, before we go in, you have to understand that we might not find them in the best circumstances, if we find them at all." By now, the boys had turned around, nodding. Even Dustin had a serious expression. Hopper pushed past them and muscled his way through the goo and webs until he found himself on the other side. After pulling the boys through, the air was still and no one spoke. They're eyes trailed the hollowed version of their town. It was a shell, a ghost town, deserted and empty and just plain creepy. After a long silence, Dustin cleared his throat. "Can we... start looking? Just standing around gives me the creeps..." he squeaked and they started off.

Mike sat with his back against the sort of wall of the fort, Elle snuggled up between his legs, pulling his arms around her, shivering from the cold winds. They watched intently as she told them her story, slowly, like she was picking each word with careful consideration. By the end, they just stared. "Well..." Ten said, looking at them curiously, "can you get me out...?" Mike looked nervous but Elle, she had a determination in her eyes. "Yes." she said confidently, giving the girl a small smile. "E-Elle! We don't even know how to get-" "We can." Elle interrupts, sitting up. Mike sighed, pushing away from her and crawling out of the fort. He shoved his hands in his pockets, his breathe forming clouds of anger in front of him. He paced, trying to do what Mike always does, think his way out. But... he couldn't. He couldn't think of any way out of this without putting himself or Elle in danger. Suddenly, there was a bright flash of light and Mike gasped, ducking behind a tree. He kept his eyes on the fort. Suddenly, there was a yelp, but not from the fort. Curious, Mike poked his head out for just a second. Then he heard the well-known growl and shot back behind the tree. "HEY!" someone yelled. It sounded like...

"Hopper?"
