"Sooo... Im, gay."
Nate stared down at the floor boards occasionally glancing up towards his friend but immediately going back to floor boards when he saw Matt was still looking at him.
"What."
"I'm gay?" Nate was slightly confused by the question.
"Ok but is that all? I understand this is a big deal for you but you know I don't care about all that right?" Matt looked to Nate as if he'd asked if he was crazy.
"Matt a lot of people say they don't care about 'the gays' but actually do, like they'll say Their friend's sister's cousin's friend is gay and that makes them non homophobic."
Matt was a somewhat started by Nate's oddly Specific scenario. "Well that was a needlessly complicated example."
"But you get my point right?" Matt nodded still a bit taken aback by Nate's logic.
"Look I just didn't want to scare you away, alright? I mean it's funny if two straight guys are making gay jokes with each other but when someone who's actually does it some people get uncomfortable." Said Nate almost apologetically.
"Hey no worries, alright? Nothings gonna change, I'll make sure of it." Matt gave a small smile and hugged his friend reassuring him of his words.
Little did they know Matt had never been wronger...
