It started as a suggestion.

"Hey Nate I just thought about a great date place for you and that guy you like!"

Matt was frantic to distract himself for the events of the other night.

"oh yeah, where?"

He just thought he could forget about it, that it would all go away.

"Heathers: The Musical is in town!"

And now he was standing in line closer to Nate than ever.

Nate and Matt stepped up to the snack bar and cast an eye over their options,

Snickers, Kit kats, Areos, Mars bars, Milky ways, Crunchs, Reese's, Twix, Hersheys, Coffee Crisp...

Oh Henry! there was so many to choose from! Matt looked away from the plethora of treats and  turned his attention to the beverage section instead. he saw the usual; Iced tea, Pepsi, diet coke, root beer. Wait a minute. could it be? It Was. Matt rushed over to the register and Immediately ordered a coke. Nate following behind him.

He was speaking under his breath before addressing Matt "oh for the love of- Really Matt?"

Matt shot back a scowl "Do you have a problem with that?".  Nate shot up somewhat at the sudden aggression.  "No I just-" He took out his wallet "look just let me pay."

"And why would I do that?" He questioned looking down at the slightly shorter man. "If this is meant to be practice for a date shouldn't I be acting All gentlemen like?"  Matt thought to himself for a moment and let him pay (quite reluctantly I might add).

Moving to the theater it seemed not many people were there, there was maybe two or three people strewn about but the majority of the seats were left untouched. The two men gave each other a look of question and took spot around the center of the seats. Soon enough people came filing in, one after another, popcorn was dropped, teenagers complained, some idiot tried to start a fight over a spilled drink and ended up getting thrown out of the theater, it was hectic! But for as bad as it was as soon as the show started everyone shut up. Everyone.

There was many mixed feelings as the show went on, during dead girl walking especially. Nate couldn't look away while Matt couldn't look at Nate. Oh god. It was just like what happened the other night, except way more extreme. However Matt realized something, still rather embarrassed, he looked to Nate and saw something he barely noticed before, Nate was looking at the male lead. He seemed like he was focusing more on the situation than the set-up. Matt nudged him in the side and he finally seemed to snap out of his daze.

¨Im OkAy!¨ he Frantically burst out people shushing him in the process. "Are you alright you kinda looked like you were-" Matt stared but was swiftly interrupted. "Im FINe, JuST nEed to Use the bAThRoom." Nate hurried out the the Theater, and wasn't to be seen again until the Nightmare scene.

Stepping back into the their aisle Nate sat down as quietly as possible trying not to draw attention to himself although at this point it was futile. "Nate what happened?" Matt asked. "Oh you know, just got a little overwhelmed by it all, wanted to step out for some air." He couldn't tell if He was lying or not but Matt didn't pry, as long as he didn't ditch, Matt didn't mind waiting for him.

Hours passed and the show had ended. People once again fled out of the theater leaving Nate and Matt alone in the dark. "So what did you think?" The Brunette asked. "It was amazing, the sets, the characters, the music, Dear God the music!" Nate had a big smile on his face. "But the best part was I got to see it with my friend." Did he really mean that? Matt tried to avert his attention from his over analysis of every little word and instead asked about the reason they came here in the first place. "Do you think your Mystery Man will like it?"

"Not sure, did you?"

"Absolutely."

"Then I'm sure he'll love it"

Authors note: Okay so I saw Heathers after starting this chapter and while watching it i realized that one part was very similar to the situation I had wrote in the last chapter and since I've become utterly obsessed with this musical I of course scrapped the chapter I had already written in favor of this one. sorry it took so long, I'm completely mad.
