After that first class, the rest of the day was a blur for Astrid. She wanted to cry. She wanted to curl into a ball, and sob. She wanted to angrily yell at the world in hatred for treating her this way. But she couldn't. And she didn't know why. All she could do was ask herself questions over and over again.
What did I do that makes them treat me like this?
How can no one, not one person, see me like this and not ask if I'm okay?
She knew the answer to both of those questions. Because she was invisible and no one cared. Not even the teachers noticed, they were only caught up in teaching their lesson and getting out of this cursed school. By the time lunch arrived, Astrid felt like breaking down. She grabbed her linch tray and walked as far away from the cafeteria as possible. She went out to the football stadium and sat in one of the bleachers. As she sat down, she heard people's footsteps walking into the stadium, but she ignored them and put her head into her hands.
"There you are!" Someone said, "I've been looking all over for you!"
Astrid didn't even look up because she knew that whoever was speaking wasn't speaking to her. She just ignore and stayed with her head in her hands.
"Astrid are you okay?" The same person asked. Astrid looked up to see Ruffnut looking down at her with concern in her eyes.
"Oh, Hi Ruff," Astrid said, with no emotion in her voice, " Yeah, I'm fine," She lied. Ruff stared at her for a couple more seconds still debating whether she should believe her or not. She seemed to believe her. Ruff excitingly sat down next to her.
"Okay, you know my brother that I always talk about, but you've never met him?" Ruff asked. Astrid thought for a moment. Ruff was right. Astrid had never seen her brother before. Astrid turned to her and noddded.
"Well, can you keep a secret?" She said smiling mischievously. Astrid wasn't really sure what to say. Knowing Ruffnut, she could've done anything. Astrid slowly nodded.
"Okay, here goes!!" She yelled, but then whispered into Astrid's ear, "He's actually Tyler from the band, Dragon Riders!"
Astrid quickly looked up in surprise. Ruff was related to a member of the most famous band in the country.
"Haha, Ruff, very funny," she said
"No! I'm serious!" Ruff said. Astrid scanned Ruff, there was a resemblance to the band member. It could be possible. Right?
"Okay?" She questioned, "Is that it?"
"Nope!" Ruff hopped up and down in excitement, "You know that concert that the Dragon Riders are going to have here in Los Angeles?!"
"You mean the one that has been sold out for a month?" Astrid asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Yup that one!" Ruff yelled, " Well, he gave my mom, who gave me, two tickets two their concert tomorrow. One for me" she pointed to herself, " and one for you!" She gestured to Astrid.
Astrid quickly got up. Making her lunch fall off of her lap and onto the bleachers.
"Are y-you serious?" She stuttered. Ruffnut squealed and nodded. Astrid ran her hands through her hair. Her best friend was related to member of her favorite band, and she was going to a concert! FOR FREE!!
"Wait, there's more!" Ruff said seeing Astrid's face, "The tickets are... BACKSTAGE PASSES!"
Astrid felt like she was going to faint, this is the best thing that's happened to her. Her miserable day was becoming her best.
"You get to meet my brother and your favorite band!" Ruff yelled excitedly, "Just try to restrain me from killing my brother!"
Astrid hugged her friend tightly.
"Thank you so much, Ruff!" She said. The bell rang for the last class of the day. Both girls looked up.
"We better go!" Ruff said. Astrid nodded and began running down the steps. Today was the best day.
After school:
Astrid was so excited! She didn't know what to do! She looked around her room to see if she could do something. She spotted her mask on her desk. An idea popped in her head.
Ten minutes later, she changed into a better outfit and put on her mask. And pressed record on the camera.
"Hey, guys! So! You won't believe what happened to me today!" She yelled excitedly at the camera, " I got tickets to the Dragon Riders concert! Ahhhh!!" She yelled excitedly and waved her arms in the air like a maniac, "I'm still in shock, so I was like, let me play a song to clear my mind! So that's exactly what I'm going to do!"
Adtrid turned on her keyboard. And adjusted everything very quickly. "So! This is the song Counting Stars on the keyboard! Hope you enjoy!"

"Thanks so much for listening! You guys are amazing! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!" Astrid waved farewell at the camera, "Hopefully I don't go crazy from excitement and die!" She chuckled, then turned of the camera. Once she edited the video and posted it, she hopped on her bed, smiling ear to ear.
"I can't wait for tomorrow." She whispered, "Best day."
And with that she fell into peaceful slumber.
