I looked behind Sam. I saw two pairs of red boxing gloves attached to a string.
"Uh sam, What are those for?" I said Pointing at the red gloves.
Sam turned back and gave me a sly smirk. He grabbed the pair of red gloves from the grass and removed the string.
"You Sir, are going to learn how to fight." He said tossing me the gloves..
I wasn't much of a fighter. I've never been in a fight besides the one Spike, But then again, that wasn't really a fight.
Me and Lizette gave each other a look. She was actually smiling. Probably was going to be fun for her to watch me fail.
"Uh, listen, I have a date next friday and I can't really damage this beautiful face." I said trying to sound serious.
Both Sam and Lizette laughed. So much for trying to save my face.
I put on the red gloves. They seemed tight but other than that they were alright.
"Wait a minute, Sam since when did you learn how to fight?" Lizette asked with a curious tone.
"Well, Lizard girl, When I was in spain I took some martial arts. Isn't that ironic?" He said with a small smirk.
"It's not lizard girl! It's Liz-ette. Let me repeat. Liz-Ette." She said with an annoyed tone.
Sam smiled. I guess he enjoyed annoying her.
"Okay now Ryan, get your stance up." He said. Getting his stance up trying to show me.
I put both of my arms up in front of my face.
"Okay good. Now swing at me." He said sounding confident.
"Are you sure?" I didn't want to actually hurt him.
"Positive"
I swung at him. But I didn't hit anything. In fact, he ducked my punch.
"Again" he said.
I swung again. I still didn't hit anything. But he swiped my feet and I fell on the grass.
Lizette was in shocked. She didn't even have nothing to say. Which was weird.
"You gotta keep your guard up." He said while he get's his arm out to help me back up.
Not going to lie, I was getting a bit frustrated.
"Alright, again. Swing." He said sounding serious.
I swung pretty hard. He ducked. But I saw him trying to sweep my feet again. I jumped.
"Good! Keep going." He said. I saw him about to swing at me. I ducked and and tried to sweep his feet. He jumped. I got back up and he started swinging full force. I blocked all the punches and kept ducking them. All of the sudden, I took one swing. He fell to the floor.
"Damn, sorry!" I said, hoping I didn't punch him too bad or else his mom might call my mom and it'll be game over.
He was smiling. He jumped up. He had a small bruise, but you can barely notice it.
"Yes!, Ryan you're a natural! Since when did you have quick reflexes?" He said sounding excited.
"Uh, I dunno." I really didn't.
We looked at Lizette just sitting on a rock in complete awe.
"That....was....Amazing!" she said jumping up and down.
"It was like I was watching a fight scene. Like the scene in Bashing Aliens, where Tom fought the evil Alien and he kept throwing punches and dodging them! That was so cool, That was my favorite.."
