I was excited to tell Sam about these new abilities. Even though, my mom already knew I had powers, it'll be nice to know I can talk to someone about these weird powers I have.
After my last period bell rang, I practically ran to my locker. I grabbed all the stuff I needed and put them in my bookbag. By the time I closed my locker, I looked to my right and Lizette was standing there looking at me.
"Uh, Hey Lizette what's up?" I said calmly hoping she doesn't ask what I'm going to do after school.
"Hey Ryan! I was wondering if you're busy after school. I don't want to go home because my annoying little cousins are there and I Am not in the mood to deal with them." She said with an annoyed look.
I thought about telling Lizette about my powers. Lizette seems like the person to tell people everything, even your secrets. But I had hope for her. After all, she was the first one I met. The first one that talked to me. The first one that didn't give me a weird look when I was around. Without her, I probably would be some lonely kid.
"Yeah, I'm going to hang out with one of my friends. It's kind of top secret. But you can come." She jumped up and down excitedly. So I guess she was going to know the big secret as well.
Me and Lizette walked towards the trees to get my bike. The good thing is my bike had two pairs of pegs. One on one side of the wheel and the other peg on the other. So I was basically her chauffeur.
"Alright, Hop on." I said calmly.
"What if I fall off or you hit a big rock and break my ankle. What if-"
"Liz, I promise nothing will happen." I said reassuring her. She got on the pegs and held me tight. I bet if I tried getting her off using my powers, it wouldn't work.
While pedalling I told Liz what we were doing.
"So Liz, promise you won't tell anyone." I said with a serious tone.
"I promise" Holding me tighter since it got more bumpier.
"Liz, I mean it." I said. If she told someone, I don't know what I would do
"Okay, Okay what is it? Where are we going?"
"We're going to the abandoned factory near old Frederick's house."
"Why?" She said with a confused tone.
"Because.. I'll just explain when we get there. I'm meeting up with a guy named Sam. He's a close friend of mine."
"Sam who?"
"Sam Stephen."
"Ugh. That guy made fun of me because I drew a Lizard in art class instead of fruit." she said with an irritated tone.
I didn't even know she knew Sam. Come to think of it, I didn't even think they knew if each other existed.
We got to the abandoned factory and saw sam sitting on some stairs at the entrance of the factory.
"NO, no, no, no. What is she doing here?" Sam questioned glaring at Liz.
"I told her to come I didn't think it would be a big deal, now can I show you why we're out here?" I said walking to a huge dirt pile.
Sam nodded. Still glaring at Liz.
"Ok watch" I focused on a small car piece that in a corner against the rusted fence. I thought about all the things that happened. things that got me angry. I could feel my eyes burning again. Then all of the sudden, I lifted a small car piece off the ground and levitated it to Sam's face. Lizette and Sam just stood there in awe. All of a sudden, Sam tackled me in a hug while I was still holding the car piece just pointing at it. I started to calm down.
"Dude that is so sick!" he said picking me up in the air and dropping me. He held me so tight I couldn't even breathe.
"Oh my god Ryan..I knew you would be able to do great things but wow...What else can you do?" Liz asked.
"I-I-I don't know" I said stuttering.
"You my friend... YOU! are gonna do wonders to this world!" Sam said still grinning like a madman.
"I guess I need to start believing in the impossible." Liz said patting my back.
"No kidding" I said staring at my hands.
"Well children.." Sam said with a grin. "We are going to make history."
