Bruno and I turned around and saw a witch neither of us had seen before, with a wicked smirk sprawled across her face and a blackness to her eyes. She didn't get the chance to make us fall to the same fate as the vampires had, because the second we laid eyes upon the evil enchantress, Bruno lunged forward and tackled her to the ground. However, before he could even lay a hand on her, she vanished into thin air, her laughter lingering behind and ringing in our ears.

"Get them out of here," He commanded, motioning to our supposed-to-be enemies, "I'll deal with her."

"Are you crazy? I'm not going anywhere. If we separate, we'll both end up dead."

"Someone's smart," The girl whispered teasingly, the feeling of her hands on my shoulders and her breath on my ear causing me to spin around in an attempt to face her, but all I saw were the vampires whose eyes were locked on Bruno and me .

"Who even is this bitch?" I shouted angrily.

"The name's Natalie." I looked up to see her perched on one of the banisters that held up the ceiling, smiling down at me. "But you can call me Nat, or your worst nightmare, whichever you prefer."

"Well I hope you're having fun, Nat, because I'm going to end you."

"Not before I end you." The witch giggled before disappearing once again.

Bruno shook his head. "Look, Kenya, just get these guys out of here. I'll take care of her."

I growled at his words, but he was right - the vampires were top priority. Bruno ran out of the room and I turned around, approaching Patrick for the second time to get the black goo off of his mouth. This time was different than the first, my eyes glowing and my arm burning as I ripped the rubbery substance off. I fell down on my back as the substance finally peeled away from the vampire's face, leaving a noticeably red mark on his pale skin. Patrick pressed his lips tightly together, holding back the scream that wanted to escape his mouth.

Bruno and Natalie were deep into a fight two rooms over. I looked over at Patrick who was rolling his head, his bones cracking. "I never thought I'd say that I'm glad to see you," He grumbled.

"I guess I came back just in time." I mumbled, holding the substance in my hands and looking at it curiously.I tossed it to the side and got back on my feet, ripping the rest of sticky blob off of his wrists and feet. I traveled over to Pete, repeating the same process on him, then Andy, and Joe, each time with more ease. "I thought you might've ran," I tacked on.

"No, but Harrison did," Patrick remarked.

"I bet you he's with that witch bitch of his," Pete spat, wiping the remaining black ooze from his wrists and a smirk crawling onto his face.

"Pete, I want you to find him and bring his ass back here," I stated, "Because as much as I hate to say it, I need him. I need all of you." The vampire rolled his eyes and darted out of the room in a blur.

"What about the rest of us?" Joe questioned.

"Find the survivors," I replied authoritatively, "Start setting up a hospital; get food and water for them. You can bring them to the pack house."

"The pack house?" Patrick repeated, "Why there? That's, like, the least safe place to go right now."

"I have a friend waiting there; she'll help." I looked to the drummer in the band. "Go find Brendon and Rachael, bring them to the bayou, and get a protection spell on that place," I ordered, "Have you seen another hunter? I sent him here with Rachael; his name is Brian."

"He's dead," The ginger muttered, "After the first fights broke out, a vampire killed him."

"Great." I shook my head, hearing thumping coming from the back room - Bruno needed my help. I looked over at the discarded goo forming a puddle and walked over to it, picking it up. "Go, we'll be right behind you."

"What are you going to do with that stuff?" The lead singer inquired as I allowed my eyes to glow again, the substance transforming into a ball in my hands.

I smiled. "Give Natalie a taste of her own medicine." I walked out of the door and heard Bruno scream. I ran towards the commotion, pushing my way into a private music hall and seeing the witch choking the life out of Bruno. I hid the substance behind my back and struggled to keep it in control. "HEY BITCH!" I screamed and she turned around, smirking at me.

"You know, the two of you are making this so easy on me. I can kill both you at the same time." She extended her free hand and I began sliding away from her. The air was knocked out of me as I came in contact with the wall, dropping the black gunk on to the floor. I cursed silently as I tried to get a sense of my surroundings, but everything was getting blurry.

Get up. Something whispered to me, it reminded me of when I fought Rachael after waking up. Get up and fight

I yelled and scrambled to my feet.

Block. It commanded and I put up my hand, clashing with a red bolt of energy. You were trained for this, fight!

I gazed down at the ooze, then over at Bruno who was passed out of the floor, and knew what I had to do.

"I told you I'm your worst nightmare," Natalie repeated as she put her hand out and I was drawn into the wall again, sticking to it like a magnet on a refrigerator. The witch strolled up and placed her hand around my neck.

I rolled my eyes and scoffed, "Please." I brought up my legs and kicked her in the chest. Natalie flew into the opposite wall, breaking the surface and going into the next room over. I landed on my feet, keeping my eyes on the substance pooling on the floor. As I picked it up, Bruno groaned. At least he was alive. "Worst nightmare my ass." I walked over the broken pieces of drywall and stepped through the large hole in the home, finding Natalie trying to pick herself up. I waltzed over to the witch and grabbed her by her hair. The sorceress screamed in agony, her body cut up with blood seeping from the lacerations.

"I told a friend that I would try to be better, that I wouldn't kill anymore," I told her, "So today I am going to spare you." I brought up my hand, smearing the black gunk across her face, legs and arms. It didn't take long for it to spread. "Today I won't end you because my city is falling apart." I let go and watched as the same substance that kept the vampires captive began to consume her. "But I swear to you on my father's grave, as soon as I get everything in order, I will break my promise and put you and the demon inside of you back where you belong - in the grave with Anthony, with Brian, and with everyone else I have cared about."

The witch's eyes narrowed at me as I walked away, leaving her struggling to get out of her own trap. I stepped back into the room Bruno was still in and picked him up. "Come on, we have somewhere to be."
