Nico's POV~
I silently walked back to Perc-... I mean Sally's apartment. She was letting me stay here while I dealt with... some things. I couldn't begin to thank her enough.
I thought about everything that has been going on lately. Alex is a seer and she's my friend. It's like she can read my mind when I don't want to talk about something and she seems to know how to get me to smile. Just a bit.
I neared the apartment and using the spare key Sally gave to me I unlocked the door. It creaked open and I walked into the cookie smelling living area. I walked to the couch to watch some T.V. It looks like Doctor Who is on tonight! I felt like sleeping, but Sally didn't like it when I didn't say goodnight first so I stayed awake.
Sally was like a parent to me and when I didn't have anywhere to go I was welcomed here. She treated me with respect and now that she has gotten to know me she isn't as intimidated. Even Paul welcomed me. My thoughts were suddenly interrupted by the door swinging open.
"Hey sweety," she came over, hugged me and kissed my cheek. "You look tired honey why don't you get some sleep." I nodded silently and hugged her tighter as a tear slipped down my face. I tried to hide it, but Sally noticed as I sniffled and pulled me back wiped my cheeks with her thumbs and whispered soothingly, "Oh Nico, it'll be alright soon honey. Oh don't cry." Of course I only seemed to cry more when she said that.
"I'll be fine Sally, Thank you. You're probably exhausted you should really go to bed." I sniffled and hugged her one last time not wanting to ever let go.
"Okay Nico, see you tomorrow sweety." Sally yawned and smiled sympathetically as she walked to her room.

I sat down in my usual spot as usual. While waiting I people watched and came up with little stories for people who caught my attention. No too long after eleven thirty Alex plopped herself down beside me.
"Hey Neeky!" Alex exclaimed.
"Hey!"
"You would not believe it the craziest thing happened..." she started then paused.
"Well are you going to tell me what happened already or are you going to just sit there?" I signaled her to go on.
After shooting a quick glare she continued, "Well I was walking along to the beach to meet you, and a giant dog was racing past me. I heard other people start to say "what's a poodle doing here?" and "What's that chihuahua doing?" and it was obviously a huge dog so I quickly figured out it was a hell hound. Well it was just running as if was looking for something. It was humongous though."
I instantly thought of Mrs. O' Leary and gave a small nostalgic smile. As a noise approached us I looked up to see none other than... well... Mrs. O' Leary!!!
"That's the one!!!!" Alex yelled and ducked under her arms.
"No it's fine it's just Mrs. O' Leary!" I quickly explained and smiled petting her neck.
As I was petting along her scruff tucked under her ginormous (custom made) collar a piece of paper stuck out. I delicately removed it to see what it was.
"What's that?" Alex curiously peeked at the piece of paper in my hands.
"I don't know..." I said curiously opening it. Alex went back to petting Mrs. O' Leary who was slowly falling asleep from her shadow travels.
I began to read the note in my head, "Mr. Nico DiAngelo, I believe Mrs. O' Leary wanted to see you again. Hades has told me of your plan. We miss you and will miss you dearly. Stay safe. Camp Half-Blood will remember you and all the help you have given us demigods. Thank you Nico. ~Chiron and Mr. D"
A tear seemed to find it's way down my cheek and fell onto the pale sand. I quickly wiped my face and folded the note into my pocket.
"You okay?" Alex questioned me concern filling her voice.
"Yeah I'm fine," I seemed to be trying to convince myself more than Alex.
"Okay Neeky, whatever you say."
