Just Give Me A Smile (I Need You To Be Happy)

Min Yoongi doesn't do goodbyes, because if they are he assumes that they are permanent, or that the person simply just doesn't care for him anymore. Like when his first girlfriend broke up with him -suggesting that they should still be friends, Yoongi stopped contacting her all together. If he wasn't good enough for her as a lover, what makes her think he would be a good friend? But not this time. Yoongi knew this was a different kind of goodbye. Because Yoongi literally felt his heart ripping in two. He didn't want to leave. Neither did he want Yoongi to leave.

Kim Taehyung's ideal date was not packing suitcases and boxes full of supplies, emptying half of his shared bedroom, and saying goodbye to the most cherished, beloved person on the face of the earth. It just wasn't fair. Why did he have to go now, of all times? Why not when they had been through those arguments that they had, where they wouldn't talk to one another for days straight? Why not when Taehyung was always seeming to make his lover upset, and his lover always seeming to make Taehyung offended? Or why not when all Taehyung was back then: that shy, red-faced, awkward freshman teen who was constantly practically tripping over his own two feet? It just wasn't fair.

Kim Taehyung's thoughts were interrupted when in his peripheral vision he saw Min Yoongi's lips curve into a small smile, eyes crinkling with tears, as he looked down at an old crinkled paper. Curious -and also wishing to get his mind off of the fact that the older boy was leaving soon- Taehyung rested his chin on Yoongi's shoulder to see what the older boy was holding.

"Remember this?" Yoongi's choked up voice questioned, turning his head to place a sweet kiss to the younger's lips, which made Taehyung's heart flutter (not that he would ever openly admit it to his lover). "January 16, a Sunday afternoon you came into the Japanese restaurant and bumped into the waiter, forcing all the food he was carrying onto himself." Yoongi chuckled at the memory.

Taehyung stared down at the bill with embarrassment, gently smacking Yoongi's bicep. "I-I was nervous, okay? That was the first date you asked me out on and I was a little excited-"

"A little?!" The blonde interrupted. "You were panting like a dog, sweating like a pig, and moving around like an overly caffeinated squirrel. With ADHD. You'd think I'd asked you to star in a porn movie with me or something." Yoongi playfully teased.

"I don't call you August D for nothing, now do I D-Boy?" Taehyung mocked, smirking before he placed a small kiss to the nape of Yoongi's neck, reveling in how the older boy's shoulders stiffened. "Anyway, I never did find a chance to repay that waiter, he was seriously nice considering what I did to him, but I did give him a fifty dollar tip. Practically gave him my whole allowance that month."

Yoongi scooted back so he could sit facing the younger male. "What are you talking about, he comes over all the time, and he's my best friend . . ." Yoongi's voice died down staring at Taehyung's shocked face with an equally confused expression. "Yo do know that the waiter is my friend Hobi. My best friend Jung Hoseok, right?!"
