Jasmine's POV

It's been silent for almost five minutes and there's been no movement from the bathroom. I decide to get closer and that's when I hear sobbing from the other side of the door.

"Rachel, are you alright?" I get no reply.

"Rachel!" Still nothing. Now I'm really worried.

"RACHEL!!!" The door slowly creaks open. Her eyes were red and puffy and her cheeks were tear stained.

"Jasmine, could you sing for me?" She croaks. God she sounded so horrible. I nod.

"I'll do Fight Song." I inform. She nods and motions for me to start.

Like a small boat
On the ocean
Sending big waves
Into motion
Like how a single word
Can make a heart open
I might only have one match
But I can make an explosion

And all those things I didn't say
Wrecking balls inside my brain
I will scream them loud tonight
Can you hear my voice this time?

This is my fight song
Take back my life song
Prove I'm alright song
My power's turned on
Starting right now I'll be strong
I'll play my fight song
And I don't really care if nobody else believes
'Cause I've still got a lot of fight left in me

Losing friends and I'm chasing sleep
Everybody's worried about me
In too deep
Say I'm in too deep (in too deep)
And it's been two years I miss my home
But there's a fire burning in my bones
Still believe
Yeah, I still believe

And all those things I didn't say
Wrecking balls inside my brain
I will scream them loud tonight
Can you hear my voice this time?

This is my fight song
Take back my life song
Prove I'm alright song
My power's turned on
Starting right now I'll be strong
I'll play my fight song
And I don't really care if nobody else believes
'Cause I've still got a lot of fight left in me

A lot of fight left in me

Like a small boat
On the ocean
Sending big waves
Into motion
Like how a single word
Can make a heart open
I might only have one match
But I can make an explosion

This is my fight song
Take back my life song
Prove I'm alright song
My power's turned on
Starting right now I'll be strong (I'll be strong)
I'll play my fight song
And I don't really care if nobody else believes
'Cause I've still got a lot of fight left in me

Know I've still got a lot of fight left in me

Rachel looks at me in disbelief.

"You have to preform for me tonight. My throat is so painful and I can barely speak." She croaks.

"Of course. But are you sure I can do it?" I question. She engulfs me in a big hug and gives me a thumbs up. Four hours later, it's showtime and I'm nervous.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome Jasmine!" I gulp. Here goes nothing. I step on to the stage and towards microphone and the stand.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, I know you're probably expecting Rachel but unfortunately she has fallen ill and will not be able to preform tonight. Instead she has asked me to preform her place. I hope you enjoy the show!" I say. Then fight song begins to play and I take a deep breath, ready to sing for Rachel.
