A weird tsusaki fanfic ( Tsumugu x Chisaki) Nagi no Asukara

Chappy 5 ~ Over the years

Chisaki has been permanently left behind on the shore. She doesn't spend all her time crying, so what does she do? Well, this is a Tsumugu x Chisaki fanfic . . .

YEAR ONE:

All the maids lined up in a row, waiting to meet the new arrival. Weeks, and her birthday, had passed since the boats had left.  As she still hope they would come back, Chisaki wasn't sure if she should step into the room anymore.

Going into the room meant that she was ready to help the nurses in the castle. It meant that she was ready to change.

She remembered Akari-san a few weeks ago suggesting to take her in, and though Akari-san had helped a lot, Chisaki felt like she would be a burden to them until she was able to work. So she asked for an apprenticeship in the castle instead, and they led her around, showing her all the possibilities. 

She was getting an education, of course, but an apprenticeship meant that she could stay at the castle and that she could have a super-solid career when she grew up (You do that Chisaki while we stay here and laugh because you're gonna marry Tsu XD)

Out of all the jobs, doctoring was where she felt most at home, with the caring nurses, and she was to start her job and formally meet all the nurses today. Chisaki stayed in the castle, as there were more than enough spare rooms. The king had welcomed her, too, so she wasn't worried to much.

She stood outside the door. She was sure that they were getting impatient inside, but she couldn't help it.

She stepped away from the door and ran until she found an open door. She paused. Inside, the prince sat, doing some work. He looked back, confused to see Chisaki standing there.

"Uh... sorry..." Chisaki backed away.

"It's okay. Do you need something?"

"No... i'll be going, then." Where to go, she didn't know, but she tried not to bother anyone.

"Nobody would say anything if you went back after your apprenticeship."

Chisaki blinked. Was she that transparent? She paused, thinking.

"Thank you." She said, and walked up to the infirmary door.

Without pause, She opened it, and the maids welcomed her in.

Kaname sat on the whitewashed rooftop, reminding him of the time all his friends used to sit on roofs in Shioshishio. 

Manaka, Kaname, and Hikari could still do that now, but Chisaki would have to sit alone.

Stupid war, he thought, and chucked a rock off the roof, and heard an yelp below. 

He looked down, and below him was Hikari, looking mad and startled. 

"Next time, look where you're throwing, will you?" Hikari said, and joined Kaname on the top.

Hikari was quiet for a little, which was fine with Kaname, but then he opened his mouth.

"Want to go back?" He asked vaguely, but Kaname smiled. Kaname knew exactly what he was talking about and he was all for it.

YEAR TWO:

She was getting better in every way. She definitely could have been happier, but she was getting better. Her apprenticeship was off to a great start, and her smile slowly started to show itself.
