Feel free to make suggestions, like where to put Sayu. Idk where to put her so if anyone has suggestions, no matter how bad, feel free to tell me.
Currently in le mind Sayu's just a minor character but other possibilities include Sayu being sea folk from a village that's didn't get the spell cast on them, etc.
BTW THE CHAR WHO USED TO BE TSU'S FATHER IS NOW HIS UNCLE OK DONT GET CONFUSED! ALSO HIS NAME USED TO BE TAKESHI BUT THEN I REMEMBERED EGAWA . . .
ALSO, before I begin the chapter, I wanted to note that (spoiler I guess?) Tsumugu's grandpa does actually collapse, in the anime, when Chisaki and Tsumugu were in their first or second year of high school, but I moved that collapse to year five because 1. I'm the author and I can do whatever I want and 2. Isamu Kihara is a king so if he was having problems with his health it would be put off for as long as possible.
Thanks, and be prepared to FEEL THE WRATH OF . . . TSUMUGU'S UNCLE!
YEAR FIVE:
Tsumugu sat restless in his room.
Tomorrow, his grandpa would sign the treaty that allowed traders and trades across the sea separating Ooshioshi from Mirador.
If that treaty was signed, Chisaki could go home.
Tsumugu, along with many of the staff, had mixed feelings about Chisaki leaving.
On one hand, they were happy that Chisaki could finally be with her real friends and family again. They all pitied her for that, and would feel bad if they kept her away from her home.
On the other hand, Chisaki had been living in the castle for almost five years and everyone was attached to her. She had been training to be a doctor, but now that she was leaving, what would she do? The nurses shed invisible tears wondering if Chisaki would become just an uneducated housewife, banished to the kitchen all day.
After all, who knew if she would come back? Shizue Sea was four hundred miles away from Ooshioshi's shore, and a one-way trip would take about seven hours.
Tsumugu sighed, and put his pencil down. He was tired of all the endless paperwork, and he wanted a break, if at least for a little while.
Smash!
Tsumugu turned his head to look at the door. The door had made the smash-ing noise, and at the door stood a panting Chisaki.
"What is it?" He asked, standing up. Something was wrong, obviously.
"Grandpa . . . he . . . come with me!"
In the last year, Chisaki had started to call Isamu Kihara "Grandpa", so Tsumugu knew who she was talking about.
Tsumugu followed Chisaki as she sprinted down the hallway, while she quickly brushed away tears.
They stopped at the waiting room of the infirmary, a too-bright sunshine-colored room, and Chisaki left Tsumugu in the waiting room and flung the infirmary's door open. Inside, the nurses and doctors frantically ran this way and that with towels, medicines, and needles.
"What." Tsumugu stood, confused.
An old nurse stepped out of the infirmary and told Tsumugu quietly what had happened.
"Your grandpa fainted from blood loss." She said, and told him that they were doing everything to fix him. Tsumugu nodded at this, they were probably right. As the doctor went back into the infirmary, Tsumugu heard voices from inside.
