I'm drained. Last night was spent handing out candy to little kids dressed up as pirates and zombie brides. I got too much candy, as usual, but that's not the only thing.
One of the kids was dressed up as some axe murderer. He was splattered with fake red liquid.
And when I saw him, I froze. Something flashed across my mind. Blood on a blade, blood on my hands, blood everywhere. So much blood.
I couldn't sleep. I was too afraid of what might show up once I closed my eyes.
