Back and forth, back and forth; we were in sync. My heart was frantic but I found an order and calm in the systematic exhales and inhales.
He hit me. So hard. Knocked me against the wall. The worst thing was... she was there, and she didn't try stop him. She just watched.
I didn't tell you, but you knew, in a way. You knew something happened. I think that's when I realized how much I needed you.
