The winner is..

Nicole's POV
Ever since I told Alyssa I thought Jake liked me she's been in a bad mood and hasn't talked to me.

I knocked on Matthews door. Jake opened it.

"Hi Nicole" he said sounding eager.

What got him so excited?

Alyssa went inside, bumping into Jake on the way. I quickly walked in after her. Matthew and Harris were on the couch and Jorden was on the floor. I decided to sit next to Jorden.

"Hey Jorden, what's got Jake so excited?" I asked looking at him & Matthew talking.

"Ummm... Well... I can't tell you. You have to just find out." Jorden said smiling.

Ummm okay, weird.

"You shouldn't have told me that, now I'm gonna bug you about it later!" I said going by Alyssa hoping she won't be mad anymore.

"Alyssa.."

"What?" She said sternly.

"Can we talk?" I asked trying to sit by her.

"NO NICOLE, WE CAN'T. I don't wanna talk to you right now!" She said getting up off the couch and running outside.

"I'll go see what's wrong with her." Jake said going outside.

Jake's POV
I went outside to go see if Alyssa was okay.

"Alyssa?" I asked looking for her.

I saw her in the backyard and went to go talk to her.

"Alyssa, what's wrong?" I asked. She looked at me silently before looking at the ground.

"This guy... I like him. But I was recently told he liked someone else." She said still looking at the ground.

She likes someone else? I knew it. Good thing I got the boys to think I like Nicole. Although it made Matthew mad, it's worth them not knowing I just had my heart broken.

"Well did he tell you himself?" I asked also looking down.

"Well, no. But my best friend told me! I have to trust her, right?"

Nicole? Maybe... But who would she..

"Well who was the guy?" I said trying not to sound nosey.

"Ummm..."

"Trust me, you can tell me!" As I said that I heard her mumble something, I think she said 'you' but I'm not sure.

"What?" I said "I couldn't hear you."

"You! I like you okay. You like Nicole so what does it matter?" She said starting to walk away.

I grabbed her arm to stop her.

"Alyssa, I don't like Nicole. I- I like you too. I told the boys I liked Nicole because I thought you liked someone else, so I tried to move on to Nicole, but it didnt work. I'm so sorry Alyssa." I let go of her arm as she walked towards me, looking me in the eyes. She crashed our lips together. It took me by surprise, but I kissed back.

Nicole's POV
They've been out there a long time. I'm gonna go check if she's okay.

"I'll be right back"

I walked outside. I looked and in the backyard I saw Alyssa and Jake kissing! What?

"Oh my god." I said as they broke apart. "What's going on here?"

"Well.."

Matthews POV
"Harris, who do you think will win the deal?" I asked because I was curious.

"I think you will, honestly. She kissed you once so why not again?" Harris said as Nicole walked in.

Apparently Jorden didn't hear her because he said

"Well we'll find out when someone kisses her and wins her."

You don't say that about a girl.

Nicole's POV
I decided to let them have their privacy and walked back inside to hear Matthew talking.

"Harris, who do you think will win the deal?" He asked.

"I think you will, honestly. She kissed you once so why not again?" Harris said.

"Well we'll find out when someone kisses her and wins her." What?

"Excuse me?" I said walking into the room. "Do you think girls are some sort of property? No, you can't just 'win' a girl. That's disgusting."

"No- it's not-" Matthew said as I interrupted him.

"You guys are just like typical players." I said as I stormed out of the house.

I didn't want to go home so I decided to go to this little park a couple blocks away.

I walked over to the pond it had and stuck my feet into the water. Wow, I thought he actually liked me, but no. He just made a bet with his friends. What a jerk! I got a text.

Georgia: it's been a while. You know I've missed making you miserable. You don't have feelings anyways. You're just an ugly disgusting creature.

I started to cry. I almost forgot about everything. I thought I blocked her number.


I heard footsteps approaching.

"It's not what you think Nicole! Wait, are you crying?"

It was Matthew.

"Go away." I wanted to be alone.

"No, not until you let me explain." He said sternly.

I got up and looked at him, wiping away a couple of tears.

"Look, it's just... Okay- I like you. And so does Jake, so Harris and Jorden came up with this fabulous idea to make a deal. Whoever kissed you first, the other would have to back off. I just really wanted to win, but I see if you don't want to talk to me." He said looking sort of sad.

He likes me?

What? He said it. He likes me! As he finished my phone rang again.

Georgia: why aren't you responding? Still trying to read the first message? Idiot.
Georgia: you're just a dirty hoe

I started to cry again, sinking to the ground, dropping my phone.

"Oh, my god Nicole are you okay?" Matthew said going towards me but stoping when he saw what was on the phone.

"Does that happen often?" He asked shocked.

"Umm... Yeah." I said picking up my phone.

"Nicole, you're none of those things. You are a beautiful girl, you are smart. You're just a perfect girl. Don't listen to them." He said wiping my tears and getting a bit closer, leaning in...
