Asher's parents' still weren't home that night. It felt weird to be home alone. My parents' were hardly ever out and when they were, they stuck me with a babysitter until I was thirteen.
I was on the phone with Asher until ten, rehearsing our day tomorrow. If we could just get through the first day with raising any suspicion, we'd be alright. We'd covered where and who with we sit at lunch time, learnt each other's timetables and assignments in each class. By the time I went to sleep that night, I was ready. I was actually kind of excited in a way. Next thing I know I'm waking up to another really loud rock song.
I groaned and rolled over to switch off the alarm. The first thing I noticed was how my new equipment stuck up yet again. Geez, what is it with boys and the morning? The next thing I noticed was how full my bladder was. I'd been avoiding the bathroom because of – well – reasons, but I guess that wouldn't have lasted very long at all.
I raced into the bathroom. Asher warned me never to sit down at school unless, I wanted to be bombarded with wet toilet paper, so I guess I'd better start practicing now. I pulled down the blue and black boxer shorts while keeping my gaze fixed on the overhead light. Oh my god, I could feel it? I could feel it hanging there like an extra weight. Jesus, this is too weird.
I gulped.
Okay, I didn't have time for this. Quickly, without overthinking, I grabbed it and aimed towards the bowl. Wow, I never thought the first penis I'd see would be my own. That sounded weird. It's not mine, is it? It's Asher's, right? But then again, for the time being, I am Asher.
Oh, hell, this is hurting my head. I finished in the bathroom and got dressed. Today, I put on a red and black flannel hoodie with the same brown jeans I wore the other day. I didn't think it looked too bad, but hey, what do I know?
Asher told me he wanted to meet with me before we left for school and looking out the window, I could see him waiting by the tree in between our houses.
"Looking good." He winked when he saw me.
"Ew," I shuddered. "Don't do that ever again."
He laughed. "So, even though we've sort come to terms with each other now, the whole school still knows we hate each other."
"Right."
"So we can't really see each other at school. Or anywhere apart from at home."
"Ok, fair enough. I'll text you if I need help or something though."
"Sounds good," he said. "Oh, and my keys are on the kitchen counter."
"Keys?"
"My car keys."
Oh, of course. I'd been walking to school for a few weeks now after Asher totally stuffed my car up as an idea of a prank.
"I am sorry about that, Billie," he said with a guilty expression.
"Yeah, well, now you have to walk and I get to drive. Karma's a bitch."
He grinned and started the fifteen-minute walk to school. I went back inside and found his keys. Even though Asher's parents' didn't seem to care for him, they still had a lot of money and bought him a Porsche for his sixteenth birthday.
I'd always been jealous whenever he drove passed me on his way to school. He made a habit of slowing ride down beside me on the sidewalk and honking his horn making me jump about a mile.
Now it's my turn. I felt a smile creep onto my face as saw the dark grey vehicle in the garage. The engine purred as soon as I turned the key and I pulled out onto the road.
