Chapter 5- 'Mess, Fifa and a Little Confusion'
I blinked and turned to look the man in the eye. Mr Reddan had seemed so much nicer at Mum's dinner party- right now he was looking incredibly intimidating.
"What have you done to my house then?" he asked in a menacing tone. His forehead furrowed and he looked angry. I suddenly felt terrible, because I had essentially just wrecked his house, for no particular reason.
"Uh, um. Ummmm well, we were just playing, and then I-I guess it all got a bit out of hand?"
I turned to look at Dan and felt like hitting him. He looked like he was seconds away from laughing, the stupid idiot.
We could be in big trouble and all he could do was laugh?! I was so totally going to blame it on him when the chance came.
Macy came up to me and snuggled into my neck, wrapping her legs around my waist. It was the cutest thing ever and it took all I could not to awww at her.
She's unfortunately one of those toddlers who believes she's not cute, she's cool, so I doubt she'd take kindly to me cooing over her.
"It was really fun Daddy, but I'm sleepy," She murmered softly,
"please don't tell Ari off because it was mainly Dan's idea."
I heard Dan release a cough of disbelief from behind me and I buried my head in Macy's hair so that I didn't laugh. It didn't work very well and I accidentally let out a small snort of laughter. It was very quiet and I prayed no-one had heard it.
"That was very ladylike," I heard Dan mutter.
Why that little...
"Who ever said I was ladylike?" I shot back quietly.
He looked at me for a second, opened his mouth to say something and then clearly decided against it.
"Touché" was all I heard.
I looked up again and noticed that Mr Reddans cold expression had melted into a soft, warm one of love and humour. He caught my gaze and smiled mockingly.
The realization dawned and my lips formed an 'oh' as I figured out that he was joking with me the whole time. Pat on the back Ariana for getting that.
"Ahh. Well then sweetie, I guess that means he should clean up for you while Ariana takes you upstairs to read a story?"
"Yes yes yes!" Macy squealed, suddenly regaining her energy. She grabbed my hands and tugged me towards the stairs, telling me all about this new story she had just been given which was all about unicorns and princesses. To be honest, it actually sounded like my kind of book, but that's another matter.
I'm a fairytale fan don't judge.
As Macy dragged me off I glanced backwards and saw Dan giving me a look of utter disbelief. I smiled sweetly and winked jokingly. He frowned and I surrendered to Macy's insistent pulls, but not before noticing the words Dan mouthed at me- "You'll pay..."
I smiled to myself. He's funny, I think having to do his work looking after his sister and him is payment enough.

"No. No. Noooo. Nonononono. YESS!!" I screamed, punching the air,
"Take that sucker. Take it. I told you. Yes. I. Told. You."
I jumped off of the sofa and did a little victory dance.
"Alright fine you won. Urgh. I don't even care anyway." Xander pouted and threw his remote onto the opposite sofa.
