Chapter 3-'Mondays... Need I say more?

"beep. beep. beep. beep."

I groaned and rolled over towards the harsh beeping of my alarm. 

"Shut. Up." I muttered pressing the off button and sighing in relief. 

Mondays. 

Ugh. Dont ya just hate them? 

Then again, as Rubes so helpfully pointed out, it's not the Monday itself that we hate, it's the fact that we can't relax anymore because the weekend is over. Nice speech that was. 

I opened my eyes and immediately regretted it. 

It seems I made the very educated decision to leave my curtains open last night, meaning I was instantly blinded by the suns early morning rays. 

I crawled out of my warm, comfy bed, dragging my bed sheets with me. 

"Uuurgh" 

I stood up and took a cautious peek in the mirror. 

It wasn't pretty. 

Let's just say I'm not at my best early in the morning on a Monday. 

I sighed and grabbed a towel, deciding on a nice relaxing shower before facing the horrors that is early morning maths.

Once I was dressed in my uniform (a blue and white striped blouse with a black skirt for the girls) and ready to go, I grabbed an apple from the fruit basket, slung my bag onto my shoulder and left. 

"Aaaariaaanaaaa!! Helloo daarling!" 

"Hi Sadie. 'sup?" I drawled, not really in the mood for Sadie with her ridiculously short skirt and overly fake posh accent this early in the morning. Lets just say she's not my favourite person.

"Oh I'm sooo glad to catch you! I heard you were asked to walk the new boy to school? I would just looove to meet him!" she trilled in a pitch so high I couldn't believe it didn't burst my eardrums. 

Unsurprisingly she was clinging for dear life onto the arm of Matt who looked slightly in pain. I couldn't help but laugh softly at him. 

"Um, ok Sadie, I was going to knock for him now. Yeah. Um. He lives over there." I said, pointing at his house, not really sure of her intentions. 

"Oh of course he does! Silly me. Isn't it great that we all live so close? And close to the school too!" she babbled on as I started to cross the road to Dan's house. Yeah, I thought, great, I live so close to my 3 most hated- Matt, Sadie and School. 

Okay, so I don't hate school, I actually enjoy the lessons, and I'm quite good at them but School generally doesn't appeal. Just something about it. 

I knocked on Dan's door and he opened it straight away which was rather strange. 

"Waiting for me were ya?" I winked at him "I knew you couldn't wait to see me again!" 

"Uh... Umm..." he blushed slightly, obviously nervous for his first day. 

Matt, seeing that he needed rescuing, joined the conversation, 

"Hey mate, how ya doing? Are you in the same form as us? 11JH?"  

"Yeah, I think so," he looked relieved. I'm not that bad, am I? Dan smiled at me then, so I felt a bit better, knowing that he didn't take my teasing the wrong way. 

"Hi, I'm Sadie Clear, I live next door to Ariana. I'm in your form too! I've heard so much about you Dan, we don't get new students often so you are hot topic around here!"  

Suddenly I felt my mood sour a bit. Sadie's at it again. She never stops I guess, she'll probably dump Matt in a few weeks, go out with Dan, get bored and go back to Matt again, and he'll take her back because of her parents status, so Matt's parents make him. Poor guy, I don't like him, but he deserves better than that. It was horrible to watch, everytime. 

We started walking and I tuned out of the conversation, feeling really bored already.

When we got to school I suddenly felt a pair of strong arms circle my waist, picking me up and whirling me around. 

"Jason!! I didn't know you were back?! I missed you loads, you little twerp," I pinched Liv's brother fondly on the cheek and gave him a huge hug. 

"Yeah, I got back a week ago but have been under house arrest." he said, his arms still around my waist. 

I noticed both Dan and Matt giving me funny looks. 

"Oh, guys, I dunno if you remember him, but this is Jason, my bestest ever friend from before I met Liv and Rubes. 

"Don't remind me," Liv said, and laughed dryly, "it seems I had to become best friends with my twin brother's best friend, before I could get any friends. Oh my gosh. Sad times... Sad times..." 

We all smiled and Jason spun me around, resting his head on my shoulder. He kissed my cheek softly and I smiled. I saw Dan look confused. 

"So who's your hot new friend?" 

"Oh, this is Dan. Dan this is Jason. And Jason, keep your gay ass outta there, he's straight as a pole," 

Dan looked shocked and then suddenly the penny must have dropped as realization dawned on his face and I giggled as Jason pouted, 

"But girlfriend, he is just gorgeous- sex on legs!!" 

"Yeah, I bet you would tap that, huh Jason" Liv teased. 

Dan blushed and we all laughed even harder. 

"Ok, ok, stop it everyone you're making him uncomfortable." 

He nodded and smiled slightly, looking really shy. 

I pulled away from Jason and hooked my arm into Dan's. 

"Aww, stick with us and you'll be fine Dan. Don't worry, we're the 'popular kids', haha, if you want to put it like that, that's how Matt and Sadie would anyway. Basically, we don't take shit from anyone" I whispered into his ear grinning, as I pulled him towards the entrance. 

Rubes was now stood talking to Liv, so we were all here. I turned my head to them and spoke. 

"Come on people, it's showtime. Lets's go cause a shitstorm in the rumour mill- march forwards!" 

And with that I laughed and entered the building. 

"Helloooo everyone! We are here, and ready to rock year 11!!" Sadie trilled for the whole school to hear.Nice one Sadie. So subtle.  

I rolled my eyes and pushed Dan into our form room, just as everyone started to whisper and point. He didn't need to see that. People at school could be so critical, and Dan is already quite shy by the looks of it. I'm glad we adopted him, he would have hated school without us, and even if I decide I don't like him (as of yet I am still indecisive) he still doesn't deserve that

And so the school year starts... I'm going to miss the holidays so bad.
