Chapter 8- 'I really need a holiday'

*Point out any typos please<3*

Mrs Pattrick can shove this maths homework up her as- astounding skirts. Seriously though, it's ridiculous. I'm in set 2 out of 6, and I worked hard enough to get here, I shouldn't have to keep working hard. She could give is at least a little break but nooooo that would be too nice for that evil cow.

As you may be able to tell I am really not in a good mood this morning. I know I know, before you say anything, it's a Monday morning and I have maths period 1 and I haven't done the homework. Why? I quite frankly couldn't be bothered. It's so much effort to get the books out, find my pencil case, read the questions, stare at the questions, write some numbers down and cry. I wasn't in the mood.

I'm totally not too lazy to do it.

Not at all.

Why would you even suggest that?

I'm disappointed in you.

I grabbed my milkshake and took a sip, while I puzzled over the lovely mixture of numbers and letters in question 3. I had 7 more questions to do in..

15 minutes!

Crap.

I heard the fridge open and looked up Xander was stood there, and grabbed a yoghurt. He turned around and caught my eye. We stared at each other for a second, me practically begging with my eyes for an explanation. I sighed and looked down.

"Hey Ariana, do you want me to pick you up anything from the supermarket today?"

I ignored him and carried on staring at my work.

"Ariana please."

Silence

"Please stop ignoring me,"

I shot him a look filled with poison.

"I'll do your maths homework? Just, talk to me?"

I sighed. I really needed my homework done, but the idea of relenting to him hurt mw physically.

A few seconds passed.

"Ari?"

"Ohh fine, I'll forgive you this once but be warned that it is only because I need this homework done asap and it's really hard."

"That's fine! I'm sorry Ari,"

He skipped to me and gave me a hug. I didn't hug him back because I still hadn't completely forgiven him, and he knew that. I can't forgive him until he tells me what he was doing.

I hope he does, as much as I hate my brother sometimes, we really do share that sibling bond most of the time, and I miss it.

I ran upstairs to drag a brush through my hair. Thank goodness for naturally straight hair! I put sonera light foundation on, a bit of mascara, and some lipgloss. I'm not a terribly vain person, and I don't try too hard, so I was happy with that.

I checked my phone's clock.

5 minutes

"Ari it's done!" Xander called up the stairs.

Just in time.

I ran downstairs, grabbed the book from his hand,

"Thanks,"

and rushed out the door, across the road to Dan's.

I knocked on the door, and a few seconds later it was opened by a rather messy, if gorgeous (yes I'll admit it) Dan.
