Remember Me // Kageyama Ayano

Chapter 6 and 7

"H-Hello...m-my name is...Kageyama Ayano!" I quickly hid behind my brother. As you can see, I'm shy around new people. But I get used to it. 

"Kageyama-chan?" A girl came up to me, smiling. 

"Let's work hard together!" My eyes sparkle and I nod. 

"First...let's battle. Ayano, you will compete against me. We will choose which position you should be in." I nod and go to the other side of the net. 

She set the ball flying towards me, I easily caught the ball, making it fly towards the net, and spiked it to land, but she caught it before she did. I can never underestimate the captain. 

"GO! GO! AYANO! GO! GO! AYANO!" My brothers team was cheering for me. I smile. When I saw the ball pass the net, I quickly caught it before it fell on the ground. No way am I going to lose. 

Before I was going to throw it back..

"STOP!" I heard the captain yell making me jump. 

"You're pretty tough. I can't go on any longer. You're so young and full of energy. I know what your position should be." She huffed, trying to catch her breath. My eyes sparkle. 

"Setter. Be the setter." My eyes widened at the word. I'm going to have the same position as my brother... 

I looked at my brother who was also surprised. 

"I DID IT!" I cheered and everybody else in the boy's volleyball team cheered along. 

After that long, and excruciating day, my brother, my brother's team and I went to a small convenience store. 

I was looking for food until I saw one of the girls from my track team. I avoided her but she eventually found me. 

"Ayano-chan? Is that you?" She came up to me smirking. I hate her guts so much. 

"What do you want?" I answered bluntly. 

"Oh, I just wanted to say hi to my old teammate who decided to quit." I looked down, hiding my face from that girl. 

"Leave me alone." I said and her smirk turned into a frown. 

"Wha-" She was cut-off from my brother. When she looked at him, he immediately sent her a dark glare, scaring her. 

"Ayano? What did she say to you?" I looked down, I don't want any attention right now. 

"Onii-chan, I'm fine! She was just talking about the track team and I just started wondering if I shouldn't have quit..." Obviously, I'm lying. But he couldn't tell. I can solve problems on my own. I don't need anybody's help anymore. 

"Ayano...if you want to join the track team, you still can." He stated and I shook my head. 

"No, I want to continue volleyball. I worked so hard. I'm not giving up now." I looked up, gave a fake smile, and laughed. 

"OI, KAGEYAMA!" His teammates called for him and we went to them. That rest of the way was fun. It was fun talking to someone. 

Along the way, I was eating my bread. Slowly, with small bites, Kageyama looked at me. 

"Oi." I looked up, to meet his gaze. 

"Yes, onii-chan?" I smiled, sort of getting tired of walking. 

"My team is going to go on a trip to Tokyo soon...and I can't bring you along...so you're going to be home by yourself for about two weeks. Is that fine?" My eyes grew wide. He's...leaving? I don't want you to go! I don't want to be alone again. 

"Duh! I'm not a little kid anymore." Don't leave me alone...I want to be with you. 

"Okay, because I was getting a little worried..." Onii-chan...

"AYANO! I'M LEAVING!" I quickly run down the stairs to give him a hug. 

"Make sure to eat all your meals, I think you're a little too thin so eat a lot! Also if you get sick call me. And don't forge-"

"I'll be fine. Just go." I smile and push him out the door.

I turn on the TV to watch my anime, while hugging my wonderful Ciel pillow that I have.

"I wish I can be in an anime...then I could get everything that I want..." I lay down and slowly drift to sleep. 

I woke up in the morning at 10 AM. 

"I'M GOING TO BE LATE FOR SCHOOL!" I quickly get dressed and run out the door with a piece of toast in my mouth. 

Just then I remembered, it's fall break.

So I didn't update in a while so I put 2 chapters together! Hahaha. I'm sorry chapter 7 is short :( I forgot my plot for this story ugh. Please vote or comment and be ready for the next chapter!
