Dylan's POV

I'm making my way to class when I crash into something hard. I look down and find a girl scrambling around on the floor picking all of her loose papers up. She was mumbling something under her breath. I didn't stay around to see what it was. I brushed past her and went to class.

Sitting at the back like I usually do, I fist bump one of my mates and we start messing around. The teacher walks in, slamming the door behind her. Following behind her was the same girl I had just knocked over. She looked my way and I swear she blushed. I watched her as she sat a few seats ahead of me.

After thirty minutes had gone by the teacher exited the room for something. As soon as the door was shut most of the class starred at the girl I had knocked over. She slumped back into her seat, clearly because she felt intimidated.

"She says for you to meet her after class," one of the classmates shouts evilly.

"What makes you think I want to meet her at all?" The girl shot back. If she knew any better she would keep her mouth shut, these people didn't look like they were messing around.

"Because if you don't, you know she will destroy you. And I don't think I have to say anything else for you to believe me."

The girl sat in silence, slowly nodding her head. Some of the girls that were seated across the room from her started throwing paper balls at her. The girl grabbed one, she slowly opened it. The next thing I know the girl was out of her chair holding her hands over her eyes, she must be crying.

Katie, one of Jenna's minions put her foot out. There was a rather loud thud. The girl sat up with stained cheeks, she searched the room for anyone to help her in the situation. When she found me staring at her she glanced at me with so much desperation. I quickly looked away, it's none of my business.

The classroom door slammed, sending a few childish laughs around the class. Katie and some other girls were now whispering about something I clearly don't know.

Eventually, the teacher came back and the class continued as normal. The teacher didn't even notice a student was missing. It was like the girl was invisible.

What's on that piece of paper?

•••

As everyone exited the classroom, I snatched up the scrunched paper and read it.

No wonder why your dad killed himself. Freak.

Her dad is dead? And he did it to himself, why would he do that? I placed the paper in my pocket and left the classroom searching for my mates.

I found my friends and headed to the changing room. We all got changed into our football gear and headed to the field.

Coach made us work really hard in our training, he always did. And now that I'm the captain of the team I need to be a good team leader, so dad says. I don't even want to be on this stupid team, I never did. He just doesn't understand. I try and try to break rules so that I'll get kicked off the team but I somehow still manage to get away with it.

Once training is done, the coach calls me to one side.

"What's wrong with you? You were unfocused, you need to be focused to lead this team Dylan," he seems rather angry.
