Dylan's POV

I had tried talking to Cleo on so many occasions but every time she blanked me. I don't know what else I can do to make things right. After seeing Jenna talking to her yesterday I knew something wasn't right.

When I arrived at college, crowds of people stood around the entrance. I was interested in what had caused all of the commotions. Once I passed through the crowd, loads of photos were pinned on the walls. Of Cleo...half naked. I'm a guy and like the rest of the guys here I could just stare but I'm not going to do that. I grab the images one by one and rip them before putting the paper in the bin. I'm not having anyone else see her like that, does she even know about this?

There's only one place she'd be if she had seen them. I head to the dark room. I enter to the sound of muffles.

"Cleo?" I whisper, just in case, it wasn't her.

Silence. Yep, it was definitely her, she's the only person that would ignore me.

"Cleo...I saw them," I said as I approached her. I go to comfort her by touching her shoulder but she flinched away.

"And? Have you just came here to get something from me because I don't do that stuff," she spat as she wiped her eyes.

"No. I just came to see if you're okay. No one else is going to see them though okay? I took care of it," I muttered before giving her a hug. She was resisting but I wasn't going to let her go. After a few moments, she just let me hold her.

"And whys that?" She mumbled quietly.

"Because photos like that shouldn't be put on display for everyone to see. It's horrible and can be humiliating if everyone goes on about it. I didn't want you to get hurt Cleo, that's why I took them down," I smiled quickly before resting my chin on her head.

"You already hurt me, Dylan, she stuttered out in-between sobs. Cleo was killing me, I felt so bad but she needed to understand why.

"I know, I was going to tell you who I was but I guess Jenna beat me to it. Talking of Jenna it was her that posted all of the photos, wasn't it? I knew Jenna was a bitch but I didn't think she would do something like this, this is low for her"

Cleo nodded silently.

"I've got some good news," I said cheerfully. Cleo's eyes glared up at me for a moment before placing her head back on my chest.

"I got into Dales art academy too! And I figured things out with my dad the other day. At first, he wouldn't listen and was mad but he's come to terms with my decision. He's not thrilled but he is now respecting what I want." Now that both of us have got into Dales art academy we could see one another, maybe be in the same class.

"That's good," Cleo mumbled.

"Yeah, we will be able to see each other every day. That's if we're in the same class. But then thinking about it you're a lot better than me so you'll probably be in a different class but that's okay, we have the evenings and weekends," I said enthusiastically.

"Dylan..." Cleo pulled out of my grip, "it can't just go back to normal. Shit has happened, you lied to me and that's not something I can just get over." I was surprised that she had sworn, I can't remember if she has before but now that she's upset and using that type of language I can't help but feel even more guilty.

"Or get over the feelings I have towards you," she mumbled quietly. She admitted she liked me still, she liked me still as Dylan. I was secretly happy.

"I liked you as Jake, but this," she points at me from head to toe, "isn't the guy that I fell for. You and Jake are two separate people. Jake listened and understood me, he didn't judge me. But you, you think I'm some sort of freak like the rest of the college. You only liked me because of the chase, you didn't know who I was. But if you did are seriously going to say that you still would have acted the same around me?"

She was getting serious but the thing was I don't think she's a freak, I always saw her as a misunderstood girl.

"I am the same guy Cleo. It's just a name. Whether I knew who you were or not I still would have fallen for you because you're you, I like everything about you. When you laugh it's like angels singing, the smile which I only saw when I was Jake is one of the cutest things I've ever seen. Yes, if I knew who you was at first I probably would have been a bit of a jerk, but that's why you get to know people. People change and are different because of the people they hang around with. Since I met you in the darkroom I've been a better person, you've made me for the better and you didn't even know it. And you probably want to know why I lied to you, well it's simple. I didn't want you to ditch me if you found out who I really was. I didn't want you to ditch me like my mum. But I came to realize that you would never do that because you're nothing like her and you're a good person in general. Which is why I was going to tell you who I really was," I took a big gulp of oxygen as I glare at Cleo, I hope she sees why I had to do it. Her cheeks were turning red slightly.

"You like my laugh," she chuckled "I hate it."

"After everything, I just said that's your response?" I giggled.

"It's not every day I'm complimented. I guess I know what you mean, I was worried you would do the same thing if I told you who I really was," she pouted slightly. God, she was killing me with cuteness.

"Now that we both understand one another, are we able to move on from this?" I really hope that we can, I really like her and I want our relationship to develop. Cleo just glanced at me, I looked from her eyes to her lips. I was leaning in when she pulled away, that hurt. She muttered something to herself before going to the door.

"I need some time okay?" And with that, she was gone.
