Cleo's POV
I had collapsed after maths had finished. When I finally woke, I wasn't expecting Dylan to be sitting by my side, I wasn't expecting anyone to be. The college phoned Vivianne to come and collect me. I didn't have much of a say on how I was going to get home. The nurse had informed me that I fainted out of dehydration and lack of food. Which does make sense in some ways, I hadn't eaten for two days straight.
The ride home was exhausting, Vivianne wouldn't stop talking about where I had been. She had the idea that I spent the night with some guy. Which technically I did, but she was accusing me of doing other things rather than just sleeping.
As soon as we pulled into the driveway I jumped out of the car and headed straight for my room. There was no way in hell I was going to stand around to be lectured even more by the witch. The nurse had told me to eat something when I got home, which I didn't. So I waited in my room for everyone else to eventually go to bed so that I could go downstairs and grab something to eat.
I ate 2 apples, a slice of toast, half a croissant and a slice of caramel cake. It is an odd bunch of food that I ate but I needed a mixture of nutrients.
It was now around 10:15 pm and I was wide awake. I decided to take a small stroll to the edge of town, where I take lots of my photo shoots. I sat carefully on the old stubbly wall which acted as a border with the next town other. I glanced up at the moon and stars, waiting for a shooting star to fly by.
A few minutes went by and a shooting star fell, I quickly made my wish.
"Please let me get excepted for Dales art academy." I held my fingers crossed for a few moments whilst wishing upon the stars. Some people may think it's silly but I still have hope that one day I will leave this hell hole.
I continue watching the stars for another five minutes before heading back home.
••
I realized that I needed to have some breakfast before college because if I didn't, there was the possibility of me fainting again. And I don't fancy being the gossip of the college any much longer, I'm sure the girls took no time wasting their chance of spreading rumors about me.
When I got to college, all eyes were on me. Yep, the girls told everyone. Some people gave me sympathy glares, whilst others didn't seem to be affected by my presence, nothing new there.
Photography class was today so I headed straight there, cracking on with sorting out some of my experimented photos. I annotated them and explained how I did the effects on each one, It took me the whole lesson to complete my annotating.
Lunch, great.
I snuck myself behind some trees whilst I ate my lunch quietly. I really wanted to have lunch where no one interrupted me and didn't give me any grief.
I spoke too soon.
Walking up to me was Jenna. What now, more homework? Just what I need, more work for me to do.
"Why did Dylan race to your rescue? Have you got a crush on him? You better not or I swear I'll show the photos to everyone," Jenna spat as her minions followed with smirks.
"I don't know. And I certainly don't fancy him. Are you five? Fancy is such a childish thing to say and it certainly isn't true. Now leave me alone before I..."
"Before what freak? You pass out again? Try and insult me? Go ahead but remember if you do, all I've got to do is click a few buttons and bam everyone will see you and your freakish body," Jenna's venomous words were just rolling off her tongue.
