Sam sighed and shakily ran his hand through his hair.

"You can't tell Dean I'm telling you this." He said, staring me straight in the eyes.

I nodded impatiently, wanting him to get over with it.

"So it all started with this girl I was addicted to. Well, she wasn't a girl and... I wasn't addicted to her." Sam looked down. "I was, uh, addicted to her blood."

He explained the story in detail, Ruby, Lucifer rising, how they were tricked. Meanwhile, I sat there, mind blowing up as he spoke.

"So, let me get this straight. You drink this girls blood, you fell in love with her, she tricked you and now, Satan Almighty has risen from his hellish cage." I summarized.

Sam nodded, breathing out.

"And now, the biblical apocalypse is upon us."

I nodded, my eyebrow slightly raised.

"Two things, uh. One, why aren't you allowed to tell me this?" I asked, raising up one finger.

"Dean wanted to protect you. Honestly, I just think he's too in lov-" Sam stopped himself. "Lovely weather we have!"

I glanced out the window, turned back and rolled my eyes at him.

"It's raining, dork."

Sam scratched his neck.

"Second question, please."

"Why are we just sitting here when we could be stopping this apocalypse?" I asked.

Sam looked out the window, then back at his lap.

"We don't have any leads on where we could find anything." Sam explained.

"Then let's get searching!'

Sam and I rushed back inside, beating the pouring rain just a little. Dean was sitting on the bed, watching what looked to be a soap opera.

"W-what are you guys doing back so early?" He asked, jumping up and turning off the T.V.

"Sam didn't realize that you bought stuff last night." I said smoothly.

He nodded awkwardly.

Sam sighed and sat down at the computer, leaving me and Dean

Sam sighed and sat down at the computer, leaving me and Dean.

"I'm going to..." I stammered, looking for words. "Look at the news, look for any jobs."

I turned on the T.V, to see a soap opera turn on. Looked like 'Dr. Sexy'. I looked at Dean quizzically, holding in a tremendous laugh.

"The channels must've changed... Yeah." He mumbled, quickly changing it to the news channel.

It was my turn to nod, my eyebrows raised and my lips up in a smirk. Dean and I sat down on the same bed, not exchanging words, just watching the news. After a while, about forty-five minutes, I shut off the T.V with huff.

"We have squat!" I said, rolling my eyes and tapping my foot impatiently.

Dean walked over and put his hands on my shoulders.

"It's okay. We'll figure out something to do." He said, a kind smile on his face, and started rubbing my shoulders.

Dean eventually pulled me in for a hug, I leaned my head on his shoulder, facing his neck

Dean eventually pulled me in for a hug, I leaned my head on his shoulder, facing his neck.

He smelled really good.

He continued to run his hand up anf down my back, and I closed my eyes. I was tired. I didn't get to sleep until late, and Sam just told my that the fear-inducing apocalypse is upon us. I was tired. For good reason.

My eyes continued to get heavy, and I couldn't even open them anymore.

"I'm falling asleep." I whispered, my voice trailing off.

"I know. It's okay." He mumbled to me, his breath tickling my ear.

All the sounds were fading away, Sam's laptop clicking away, the occasional car driving past, Dean's breathing. The last words I heard were:

"It's alright, you're safe, Riles. Go to sleep." Dean's whispered comforted me, as he lifted me up and layed me on the bed. Shortly after, he was beside me, pulling me closer to his chest. Dean's hands were loosely around my hips.

"You're safe."

-------------------------

I woke up to Sam still clicking away, cars still passing by, and Dean still holding me to his chest, his breath stirring the hairs by my ear. I took a deep breath and opened my eyes, lifting my head. Dean's eyes were closed, but he opened them when I moved.

"I couldn't sleep." His voice hoarse. "But you sure could."

I smiled at him, and sat up, yawning and stretching.

"Found anything, Sam?" Dean asked, his eyes still half closed.

Sam shook his head, concentrated on the screen in front of him.

I played with my T-shirt for a while, before Dean interrupted me.

"I should buy you some flannels, make you fit in." He joked, pulling at the hem of my shirt.

"I'll just steal yours, thank you very much." I teased.

He rolled his eyes at me.

"Time to watch the news again." He sighed, scooting up the bed to turn on the T.V.

After a while of watching nothing but pointless news, and downright idiotic commercials, my phone rang. I stretched over the bed to grab it from the bedside table.

"Hey, Ellen!" I said.

I had called her and every other hunter I used to know, and that was still breathing, to let them know I was still alive.

"Hey, Riles. Listen. I got a problem." Her sentences were cut short and there was a tone of worry in her voice.

I put Ellen on speaker phone.

"Go ahead."

"Jo's gone. I can't find her anywhere, she won't pick up her phone."

"What do you mean?" Dean butted in.

"I mean she's gone. Dean, she's disappeared."
