Phil looked at the small digital clock on his bedside table. It was the afternoon. How long had he slept? 10 hours to be exact. He fixed his fringe and went downstairs to get something to eat.

Phil's mum was at the table reading the paper. "Are you alright Phil? You seem distant." His mum asks. "Yeah yeah I'm fine. Just tired I guess." Phil answers, pouring a glass of orange juice. "Your father hair went out to the store to get some things. Do you want to play a game while we wait for him to get back?" Phil's mum folded the paper and stood up. "Sure." Phil says, smiling slightly. "Then you can tell me what's going on between you and Dan." She says, looking Phil in the eyes.

How did she know something was wrong with Dan? Phil almost always brought Dan along when he visited his parents. And because this time he didn't even tell his mum and dad he was coming over, she knew something was up. It must've been one of those super mum powers.

Phil finishes his juice and sets the cup in the sink. He finds his mum on the couch in the family room, shuffling some cards. She smiles and pats the empty spot in the couch next to her. Phil sits and picks up his cards. Mrs. Lester puts a car on the table and Phil does the same. "So," she begins," tell me everything that's wrong Phil."

"...and I just don't feel the same with him, you know? I just don't... Love him the same way I used to. But now I feel terrible because I don't know when it'll feel right to go back to him and..and" By this time Phil's cards were on the floor, and Mrs. Lester was rubbing Phil's back, pulling him into a hug. "You'll figure something out Phil, I promise." She assures him. "I think I'm going to take a nap.." Phil says, getting up from the couch. Phil's mum smiles. "When you're ready to come down I can make you tea and crumpets if you'd like." "Thanks mum." Phil answers, slowly walking up the steps.

Once again, Phil collapses on his bed. He starts to think about Dan and what he may be doing right now. Those thoughts quickly vanish, however, as he starts to fall asleep.

-Dan-

Dan texts Phil hundreds of times. The texts always get delivered, but never read. He starts to worry even more about him.

Dan's wet hobbit hair starts to dry, and Dan doesn't even think about straightening it. He's not going out today, or any time soon. He taps Phil's name on his phone, for what it seems like the thousandth time, and hears it ring, and ring... And ring.

Phil's voice fills Dan's ears. "Hey this is Phil's phone! Sorry I'm not here to answer you at the moment, but leave a message, and hopefully I can respond to you as soon as possible. Thanks for calling! Unless you're an alien, then... I don't know. That's cool I guess. Wow I'm making this awkward. Okay bye." Dan sighs hearing Phil's voicemail again. There's the beep and he begins his message. "Hey Phil.. It's Dan... Again. I hope you're okay and doing well. Please get back to me when you can, alright? I miss you. (I swear to god Sarah don't mention Boink) Talk to you soon. Bye Phil." Dan hits end and puts his phone in his back pocket. He opens his laptop and logs onto YouTube. He notices comments on Phil's video from 4 weeks ago. "Phil should've posted by now. He always posts videos on the last Saturday of the month. I haven't seen him tweet anything in a couple days. Somethings up." This only makes Dan more worried. He really hopes Phil is okay. And hopes that he, himself is okay too.
