Phil turns around to see Dan standing in the doorway to the kitchen.

"Dan."

Dan rushes to give Phil a big hug. Phil is startled at first, but then accepts it, and hugs Dan back.

"I missed you so much, Phil." Dan whispers. Phil hesitates. "I missed you too, Dan." It's true. Phil really did miss him.

Even if Phil was only gone for a few days, it seemed like a few years to Dan. Dan's life is the way it is now because of Phil. If they hadn't met, Dan wouldn't be here now, with this job, or with Phil. He'd probably be stuck somewhere struggling with a job he hated all depressed and shit. But Phil came back, and wasn't just for his camera equipment. He came for Dan.

"Don't ever leave me again." Dan says, a stray tear slipping down his pale cheek.

"I won't." Phil says, hugging Dan a bit tighter. They stay there for a while, in each other's arms.

But soon the screech of the tea kettle stops them. The tall boys break their hug and Dan coughs, trying to hold back more tears. Phil takes the kettle off the stove and sets it on the counter.

"Tea?" He asks.

"Sure." Dan says, smiling.

They sit at the table, in silence. (Wow I stg if you sporks mention car radio) Dan sips his tea awkwardly and Phil does too.

15 minutes later they're talking like nothing ever even happened. Like they're old friends meeting up again for the first time in a long time. Soon they're laughing at stupid inside jokes they have with each other. Everything seems... Normal again.

Phil finally gets up from the table. "Alright Dan, I'm gonna go to bed. I've got some kind of video to film tomorrow." He says, setting his cup in the sink. "Okay. 'Night Phil." Dan replies. Phil smiles at Dan and goes to his room.

Dan sighs. Phil's back, and here to stay. Hopefully. He turns off the lights in the kitchen and heads to his room.

He's met by a sweet scent in the hallway. Phil's lit another one of his scented candles again. Dan laughs slightly and goes to his dresser. He changes into his pajamas and climbs into bed.

Phil is home, and that means Dan is happy again.
