It had been roughly 20 minutes since the elevator and broken and come to a halt. For 15 of those minutes Joe had been walking back and forth in the tiny area, making Sophie rather frustrated at the clanking sounds his shoes made for 15 minutes straight.
"Joe?" Sophie called making Joes annoying movements stop and look over to her.
"yeah?" He asked curiosity filling his body.
"Could you, possibly stop walking back and forth?" She replied making Joe realise what he had been doing.
"Oh, yeah sorry" He said sitting down next to her, making sure to leave a bit of space in between
"Thank you" She said sighing in relief of not having to listen to the clank of his shoes
It fell to silence which, to Sophie, was much better than before. She slowly looked over to Joe who was on her right. She noticed his nervous form and felt sorry for him. To her this wasn't so bad, she had been stuck before but she didn't think about how Joe would feel.
"You okay Joe?" She asked in quiet voice. How asking If he was okay was going to help she didn't know. He looked over to her, she could swear he was shaking a little.
"oh uh yeah, yeah iam good" He said with a shaky tone.
She sighed looking down. Sophie felt responsible for this. They should have filmed at Joes like he suggested.
"iam sorry"
Joe looked at her with slightly wide eyes and confusion he didn't know why she was apologising. If anything he should be sorry for snapping at her before.
"why are you sorry? I should be sorry for snapping at you" He said looking down to the floor.
"Sorry for getting us into this mess. If we filmed at yours-"
"this is isn't your fault" Joe said cutting her off. "you couldn't have known the elevator would break down" Despite Joe saying this she still had a bit if guilt for having the filming happen at her place. Joe sensed that Sophie still felt guilty for something she never did so he decided to try and get her to forget about the situation.
"How about, a game?" Joe suggested getting his phone out. Sophie looked over at him curiously.
"a game?" She questioned as Joe unlocked his phone. She laughed noticing Joes lock screen was vikk.
"yeah. I've got loads of games so how about... A bet?" Joe said making Sophie even more curious.
"we play a couple of different games and the person with the highest scores wins and the other person has to do a forfeit" Joe explained looking over at Sophie, his once shaky form now completely gone.
"Okay that sounds like fun" Sophie agreed smiling. Joe smiled and scooted closer to Sophie to show her the game options.
"Jeez someone's game mad" Sophie exclaimed looking over joes shoulder as he scrolled through the games he had. Joe laughed nodding in agreement with her.
"I take long journeys all the time I have to find someway to pass the time" Joe stated as he looked through his phone.
"True" Sophie agreed as they continued looking together until one app spotted both of their attention.
"gravity switch!" Both of them exclaimed at the same time making them look at each other. Only then did they realise how close they were, Joe looked into Sophie's eyes noteing how blue they were. Sophie looked back into joes eyes and noticed they were a pretty shade of light blue. At the same time their eyes drifted to their oddly close lips making them awkwardly scoot away from each other.
"wow, think that was the first time we've agreed on something" Sophie laughed awkwardly.
"yeah I guess so" Joe laughed with her before it went weirdly quiet. It stayed that way for a little, just silence and both looking around the elevator.
"so the game" Sophie said gesturing to Joes phone after a while of silence.
