Two hours. For two hours Sophie and Joe been trapped in a broken lift and for them it felt like a lifetime. The fact that they had managed to have several conversations with each other when before they could barely even ask each other about the weather was amazing to them. To anyone else it may seem outrageous that the two couldn't hold a conversation but to them it was very difficult. Of course as well as having several conversations they also argued but for the majority of the time they had come to be friends.

Well, their first meeting wasn't exactly great and whenever they saw each other afterwards was only them being civil for the sack of their friends. But who would have thought being trapped in a lift would create a bond between? Certainly not them.

"This is stupid" Sophie was happy to dismiss Joes idea. She laughed when she he suggested it, thinking it was a joke, but when he stood up and pulled her up with him she realised he was serious.

"I think this is a good idea actually" Joe laughed, looking at the un-pleased look on her face, with his hand on his hips.

"Joe, I have to pee and practising tackling isn't going to help" Sophie couldn't help but laugh at the odd suggestion he had made.

"We have something in common. Rugby. So it only seems right we do this. Plus, it might help you forget about needing to pee" Sophie could only laugh at Joe and shake her head. If she knew telling him she like rugby would lead to this, she would have kept her mouth shut.

"So I have the ball-"

"Why do you get the ball?" Sophie couldn't help but cut Joe off and looked at him with disbelief as he held an imaginary ball in his hands.

"Because iam amazing at rugby and no one can take the ball off me"

"Well I disagree" She took the imaginary ball of Joe. To anyone else they would look insane but they were having fun and didn't particularly care.

"Well iam the best so-" Joe tok the imaginary ball back and held it in his hands.

"So unfair" Sophie laughed before bending her knees to get ready to have a sort of tackle off with Joe. How they were going to successfully tackle each other without getting hurt she didn't know.

"Right, ready?" Joe questioned and Sophie just laughed and nodded. Joe yelled 'go' and stepped forward towards Sophie, she instantly wrapped her arms around his waist and held on tightly instead of dragging him to the floor, that was way too unsafe in Sophie's eyes.  As she held on, Joe kept turning to try and get her off to win the game but Sophie kept her arms locked, laughing as she did so.

"Someone plays rugby regularly" Joe stated, laughing.

"Not as much as I used to" Sophie laughed as she let go of Joe and stood up properly.

"Time to swap" Sophie nodded and bent down to pick up an the imaginary ball from the floor.

"You dropped it" Joe laughed at her as they went to stand at opposite ends of the lift, which wasn't that far apart.

"Ready?" Sophie asked this time and Joe nodded. Once Sophie said go Joe stepped forward quickly and wrapped his arms around Sophie's waist lifting her up in the air. She let out a squeal at the sudden action. Joe placed her on his shoulder.

"Joe!" Sophie exclaimed as he held her on his shoulder.

"I think I win" He stated simply before placing her back on the ground. They both sat down beside each other, slightly out of breath from the small activity they had down.

"I still have to pee" Joe burst out in laughter and shook his head.

"We would like to apologise for the inconvenience of our lift breaking. The workers are close to fixing the problem and you should be out shortly"

Joe and Sophie looked at each other and smiled at the sudden voice that came through the lift intercom.

"Looks like we will finally be let out" Joe nodded in agreement with Sophie.

"Iam starting to get hungry" Sophie looked to Joe and giggled at his statement.

"When we get let out I promise I'll make something when we get to my apartment"

"I forgot we were going to your apartment to film a video" Joe laughed.
