She scoped out the room, seeing who was new and who wasn't. Rick handed Judith to Carl, he was unsure of how to get her attention. He could drop a glass and hope she helps him, he could use Judith as a hook to reel her in or he could just say hello.
Rick watched her keep to herself, she drank quietly, smiled at people when they passed. She was gorgeous from what he could see. She soon stepped outside and he took his chance. He left right after her without telling anyone. He found her lighting a cigarette.
"Those aren't good for you" was the first thing he said. He saw how she jumped at his words. "Don't mean to scare you"
"No, it's fine" she said turning to look at him.
He was so cute. She smiled seeing his face and he smiled back, teeth out and everything.
"I'm Rick" he introduced himself and put his hand out for a handshake.
"You're with the new guys, aren't you? Stirring up all that trouble" she said shaking his hand back.
"That's us" he said with a small laugh.
"Goodnight, Rick" she said stepping off the porch.
"I didn't get your name"
"You'll figure it out" she said with a smirk.
Rick watched as she disappeared into the darkness. He wanted to walk her home but didn't want to bother her, scare her off. But it was really dark outside and she wasn't safe alone.
