Carl and I had been talking for quite some time now. We recently arrived in Alexandria, we finally found some kids our age. Ron and Enid were a 'thing', and I guess Carl was trying to outdo them by dropping hints at me. I did like him but I didn't want to admit it.
I sat alone on the porch just watching everyone go on with their days. Carl walked past but stopped when he saw me.
"Well, I'm here. What are your two other wishes?" He says.
I laughed.
"The way you flirt is shameful"
"At least I'm trying" he said shrugging.
"Keep trying and maybe I'll consider it"
"I'll get right to it" he said with a smile and ran off.
