Hey everyone just a heads up I will be changing the title soon from Hidden Beauty to Beauty With A Gun. I also decided this is this is going to be a series. Thank you all for reading this now back to the story.
..........
Harry's POV
Is it weird that I know her hair smells like strawberries? Or that instead of watching the rest of the movie I just stared at her sleeping form? She looked so vulnerable asleep. I can't help but wonder what made her so .... self reliant. Why is she so emotionally distant with everyone around her? Sure she smiles at times, but I'm sure it's fake by the way she tenses like its an unfamiliar feeling. Now that I think of it I never once heard her laugh. Does it sound soft and short or loud and carefree? I let out a sigh as I gently brushed the hair out of her face. I haven't been this close to a girl since....... I physical cringed at the thought of Veronica. I felt Roxanne slightly stir against me.
After Veronica I started wearing my glasses all the time. I didn't really need them they just were my fathers', so I like to keep them with me. 'You look better without them.' Her words echoed through my head. It's the only nice thing she's said to me and it made my heart flutter. I slowly moved to pick her up and moved her onto the bed. She instantly curled up making me smile as I went to sleep on the couch.
I am going to make it my mission to learn everything about this girl. With that thought I fell asleep with no surprise that I dreamt of the black haired beauty on my bed.
....
I woke up on with a stiff neck causing me to moan. As I opened my eyes I noticed that I was sleeping on my couch. I rubbed my eyes before everything came flooding back from last night. I quickly put on my glasses and glanced at my empty bed frowning. I looked over at my roommates side of the room to see he unsurprisingly didn't come back. I rubbed the back of my head before getting up. I walked into the bathroom to be stopped in my tracks at the sight in front of me.
Roxanne stopped finger combing her hair and glanced over at me. "Hey I was just leaving...." She whispered. "I just didn't want anyone thinking......" I smiled and looked at the time.
"Well we missed most of school we have enough time for Drama if you want to go?" I asked still kind of stunned that she was still here. She shrugged her shoulders before eyeing me.
"Sure." She looked like something was bugging her but I didn't press. Instead I held out my hand towards her. She didn't take it just walked past me and out my dorm room's door.
As we walked I decided that I'd make an effort to talk to her. "So what did you think of the movies?"
"I didn't get it." She said frowning. "Why didn't he just kill Voldemort in the first one?"
"Because then there wouldn't be more movies." I answered her.
"Ok well if I was Voldemort I'd of imprisoned Potter or had that blonde guy kill him for me." She stated it like it was such an obvious fact I couldn't help but laugh. She turned her head curiously at me. "What?"
"It's just.... Your something different Roxanne." I said in between laughs.
......
Drama class was almost over and I could tell Lisa was getting very impatient with Roxy.
"How can you not know how to cry?!"Lisa yelled. Roxanne just shrugged next to me causing Lisa to huff. "Less try a different scene." Lisa sounded pretty defeated. "Page 48 Line 79." I looked down and read the lines before starting our scene.
"Anja." I whispered softly leaning into her slightly. "Are you ok?" I gently looked into Roxy's face as I caressed her cheek.
She shook her head and pulled away. "I... I can't do this." She turn around and walked off the stage.
"That's it!" Lisa shouted fuming. "She's going to ruin our play!" I glanced at Lisa before taking off after Roxy.
"Hey are you ok?" I asked as I grabbed her arm. Suddenly I felt myself being flown through the air before crashing against the hard wooden floor. I groaned opening my eyes to look up at her. The look she gave me was like staring at a marble statue, devoid of all emotion. She just stared down at me ungiving to any sign of emotion. "Roxanne?" She slowly blinked like she was waking up from a dream. "Roxanne are you alright?"
She glanced at me then looked at my broken glasses. She shook her head before helping me up off the floor. I picked up my fathers glasses and couldn't help but feel the depression wash over me.
"I'll replace them..." Roxanne said above me, but I just shook my head.
"I don't need them." Was my answer.
"Then why do you wear them?" I could hear the confusion in her voice.
"They... They were my father's...."
"I'm so sorry Harry." I looked up at her face and felt my heart break at the sight of this unbreakable girl looking so torn up.
"It's ok it was an accident." I held my hand out to her half expecting her to walk away, but instead she took it.
"I want to show you somewhere." I stated not waiting for an answer as I pulled her along with me.
As soon as we reached out to the parking lot I held the door of my black Mustang.
"I thought you were a scholarship kid." She said frowning as she gracefully sat in the passenger seat.
I felt my cheeks burn red. "Why did you think that? Does it make you think differently of me that I'm rich?" I said as I sat in the drivers seat. I saw her shake her head as I slowly pulled out.
"No, I just figured that's why Caleb picked on you."
"Well Caleb thinks I'm a scholarship kid too." I never really talked about my family to anyone here. I don't like how people treat people with money different then those without.
"So where are we going?" I noticed her starting to tense up as she watched the trees fly by our windows.
"Why are you so against showing how you feel?" I asked ignoring her question." And why are you so distant from everyone? I mean most girls would kill for a shot with Andrew..." I said the last feeling bitter at the thought of his hands all over her.
"I... I was taught emotions are weakness." She said after I thought she wasn't going to answer. "As for Andrew, I'd kill him before I gave him a shot with me."
I let out a laugh. "Well you are way out of our league, so I guess I can't blame him for trying."
"Our?" She questioned causing me to stiffen.
"Your just so.... perfect." I stuttered as I blushed. I heard her scoff and had to force myself to keep my eyes on the road.
"I'm far from perfect."
"Well then I want to see it." I stated feeling brave all of a sudden.
"See what?" She asked causing me to smile.
"Everything. I want to know the good and bad about you Roxanne." I was determined and I'm sure she could hear it in my voice. She went quiet for a while before finally breaking the silence.
"I'd like that, but I'm sure you wouldn't like what you found."
"Well I still want to find it." Was my reply as I pulled into a parking spot.
