She woke before the sun, the early morning air chilly. It was still dark, no signs of the sun rising. She sat up, running her hands through her hair. She groomed her mane, and her fur next. Then, she was ready to go.

The humans fed her yesterday, so today she would bring them back food. After all, a pride is about helping out. She wouldn't be a very good mate if she couldn't hunt, after all.

Quietly, she swooped into a crouched position, the wood floor lightly creaking under her. She padded along, her fur lightly dusting the cold surface. She didn't want to wake the female human after all. She wanted to do it alone.

After all, mates likes strong females. They could provide. No, she wouldn't let this female get the strongest male.

She made her way outside, the cold air kissing her face. A small grin pulled itself onto her face as she broke into a run. Oh, she loved the mornings.

He awoke to hushed voices, their whispers slowly growing more and more panicked. What exactly did they mess up now? He sat up, waiting for them to knock on his door. There was a few more hushed sentences before he finally stood and stalked over, getting agitated. He swung the door open, peering at the two before him. Sasuke's glared up at him, while Sakura's was rather flushed. They straightened, both their eyes shooting away from him.

Whatever they did, it had to be bad.

"Report." He commanded, watching the pink haired girl wither.

It was Sasuke who spoke. "The liongirl ran away." He felt his heart thump. She... Ran away? Everything was going just fine yesterday, so what happened? Did they scare her away last night when he didn't attend dinner? Did they hurt her?

No, they couldn't have hurt her. As thoughtless the two could be, they were not dumb enough to hurt her.

"Do you know when she left?" He asked, watching as Sakura shifted uneasily. So it was her fault. He loomed over her, his eyes focused on her small form.

How dare she scare the liongirl away? She was his entertainment. Not anyone else's.

"I- I'm sorry..! When I woke up, she was gone." The girl cowered, her petal pink lips quivering. Hmph. How unsightly.

"Well, go find her." He took a step back and slammed the door.

If they lost her, they would find her.

His brother pissed him off. It wasn't their fault the girl ran away! Yet, he was acting like they committed some sort of crime. Yes, he too was agitated the girl left, but she did have her own free will.

It's not like they could keep her here.

Yet Itachi was acting... Possessive of her.

Was... He aiming for the girl? No, there was no way his brother would find someone like her attractive. After all his brother was infamous for striking down woman in a heartbeat.

Though, he had to admit, the liongirl was beautiful. Not only that, she had this... Air about her that was so taunting, so innocently seductive.

He glowered. Yes, maybe his brother did like the girl.

That just meant he had to step up his game.
