×Nate's POV×
"P-Parker, look out!"
My spider sense tingled and I swiftly avoided the ball that was about to hit me.
Oh hey, good morning. Right now, I'm a little busy playing dodgeball, or more like practicing myself to test out my sixth sense. But, I won't get too far for them to notice that I have some skills. I'll just act the regular ol' me. Since today we got gym class, I'm obviously in my PE uniform. For the shoes, wearing my most favorite of my shoes: my white-ish red n blue sneakers. It's one of a kind, and I adored it.
This was actually in the On Sale, in the same day, that was Spiderman Day. Lucky father, he gets to have a celebration with the citizens who adored him.
Once I get my own title, my own name, and my own path, I'll definitely be a step closer to being a hero. But, what bugs me to other people is that- whenever there are lovers, there will always be haters. Like Mr. Jameson. Okay, I mentioned him yesterday, right? I kinda wanted to insult him more.
knock knock knock
I heard knocks, and I bet it came from the windows. One of them. It was glass, so you kinda can see the sky through it. And there, shocked me. Spiderman's here?! I-I mean, dad's here! What in the world--
BONK!
"Haha! I got him, I got him!!"
Yeah, Frank. Ya got me. Be the happiest girl ever. I rubbed my neck and rolled my eyes. I expected the hit to be hard, but in fact, it's like I just felt. . .well, nothing. Okay, I was kidding. It felt like a light notebook just hit your head. Or even, close to that. And I ALSO expected that I wouldn't be hit. Well, you can't bring back time.
Now, on to the question- what is he doing here? He made me snap out of my concentration!
I was about to sneak myself outside, until a familiar feminine voice called me. "Parker?" I froze, and my heart began to pound, hard. I turned to face her and gave her a sheepish smile, "O-oh. Hey. I-I was just, uh--" "Get outside to wash yourself?" she asked. More like an idea to me. I nodded, "Yeah, yeah. I'm going to wash myself." Thanks for the idea, Loretta. Then, she suddenly chuckled, and shook her head. "There's no washroom outside. It's plain 'forest-y'."
. . .
Well, so much for being the excuse giver. She's more of an excuse bummer.
In a good way.
Okay, that's enough for being with her, Nate. Remember- you're a geek, and she's popular. You can never reach her expectations. I rubbed my neck nervously and turned away, my back facing her. "Well, aside from that." I laughed, forcingly. I hope she didn't notice it. Luckily, she didn't. Which earned myself a sigh of relief. "Uhm, okay then. Er. . .can I call you Nate?" She said. I whipped my head to look at her, my eyes widening, "O-Of course. You are welcome to. Fe-Feel free to call me that." I stuttered. Dang it! I internally face palmed at my sudden voice.
She nodded as she smiled. "Okay then, Nate. See ya later." She waved at me and went to her friends, leaving me speechless. I-I haven't felt this feeling before. It's pretty much new to me. So. . .UGH! I slammed the door open and closed it behind me. I quietly took few steps to find my father. I know it's hard to find him, 'cuz he can.
"Here spidey spidey spidey~" Gawd I sound horrible. ; A ;
"Coming, mother~!" I nearly jumped off the ground from the sudden burst. I whipped my head and saw my father hanging upside-down, stiffling in laughter. I pointed at him, trying to make it look a little dramatic, "You. . .you should be thankful that I won't call you 'dad' whenever you're in a suit! You should be!!" "Well, I would be thankful enough if you'll keep your voice down." He said.
