beep beep bee--
BANG
"Hmmm. . ." I hugged my pillow and continued to sleep soundly.
tingle tingle
I shot my eyes open and avoided the sudden web that was about to hit me. I stuck to the wall, and crawled swiftly, following my spider sense. I tilted my head upwards to see father in his suit. In his suit? I continued to avoid all the webs and jumped at him. He quickly got out of the way, and I smirked. I tried to do another jump at him, but felt a sticky sensation underneath my feet.
This made me glare at him. "Aww~! Dad?!"
He grabbed the newspaper that was on my bed-- wait, how'd that get there? I guess he just left it there before he woke me up. He showed me the front page. "If you're thinking why I woke you up so suddenly is to check if you really got some skills." He said, his other hand placing it on his hip. I 'oh-ed' and grinned. Finally! I'm on the news!! Now I don't need to participate in the Free-style Battle! Then remembered something, "Yo-You're not mad at me, aren't you?" I asked, frowning. He laughed and came to me, patting my back. "Do I look mad last night to you?" I shrugged, "Well, at first though."
"Sorry that I startled you yesterday--" "And today." ". . .right, today, too. I was. . .surprised that I heard such wise words from you. For I can tell, you got your wisdom speech from your grandpa Ben. Parkers do connect, huh?" He rubbed his chin, dramatically. I smiled at him, then frowned after.
"Not all of Parkers."
"What do you mean?" Dad asked as he raised his brow.
"W-well, you see. . uh, it's about Marie--" "What about Marie?" He almost cut me off. I gulped, then scratched the back of my head, "She a-also got. . .your powers, and they're quite different from ours." "She got my WHAT NOW?!" I internally face palmed at his reaction. Another priceless masked-reaction. And I think dad's brain just locked itself after I said that Marie inherited his powers, not giving a shiz at what I said after it.

I'm predicting that I'm gonna be grounded by my parents.
"Do you EVEN know what this means?!" He asked. I gulped again, and nodded. "Then why did you let her free?! She's still too young to handle such difficult ways!" "B-But dad, she hasn't done anything heroic, yet!" I waved my hands before me. Of course I should defend Marie, she's my sister! "Yet! To me, it's a 'not before she will turn around 16', yet!!" He raised his voice. Oh boy, this is getting into something intense. I furrowed, "Why around 16?!" "That's because she's female!! You do know most of the criminals are male, right?!" "Well, yeah. But--"
"What's the commotion all about?"
Mother! Great timing!
"Well, what do we have here? Father and son's argument. Now what is this about?" She placed both of her hands on her hip. And behind her was Marie, sneaking. Her eyes looked scared. Okay, we went too far to make Marie get scared. I turned to look at dad, "Let's cut this thing. But, if you don't want to train her nor me? I'll train with her by myself." "No. Because when something goes wrong, you'll definitely predict that we are gonna scold you. Or even ground you for not doing any heroic ways for a month." "Dad. Trust me, I can do this." I said, furrowing.
"Wait wait wait. . .what's with this 'trust' thing? Will somebody please tell me what's going on?" "Mom. This is about Marie. " "And. . .?" She tilted her head to the side as she crossed her brows. "Let's talk about this later, privately, MJ. As for you, kid," He pointed at me, and I'm sure he's narrowing his eyes. Which made me gulp, "don't even THINK about following me."
