KENDRICK LAMAR - M.A.A.D CITY: GO BUY A CHOPPER AND HAVE A DOCTOR ON SPEED DIAL I GUESS

The peaceful slumber Calum was in was rudely disturbed by the voice of his annoying little brother that banged on his bedroom door.

"Cal! Mom said and I quote get your ass up right now ." A groan escaped the twenty year old's lips. This always happened when he stayed over at his family's house. So what if Calum liked to get up at 4pm? He is an adult, technically he can do whatever he wants.

After a couple minutes of fuck my life's and countless groans, Calum finally got up and put some decent clothes on, he didn't have much too chose because most of his clothes were at his own house.

His muscles were tired and his eyelids were dropping tiredly over his brown eyes. A ray of light that crept through the curtains illuminated the dark room slightly and Calum reached for his phone checking the time, 2:38PM.

Calum read over some texts from Luke and his sister's, Kate. Both of them were telling him to be home by three and he didn't have much time left.

Days like these, Calum wished he had no responsibilities and he could just stay in, sleep late and eat his mom's home cooked meals instead of Oli's shitty food. However, the world wasn't all sleep and nice meals for Calum, he had committed to a lifestyle that he couldn't quit.

After brushing his teeth with the spare toothbrush he kept there, Calum walked to the kitchen and was met with his mom giving him a what the fuck are you doing with your life look.

"Mom, relax, it's my day off, I deserve to rest." The young adult assured her after placing a sweet kiss on her cheek.

His mother didn't look any less irritated. "Calum, you work on websites, what about that is so tiring?" Right, websites.

"It just is, ma. I work all night sometimes, I need to get things done on time." Calum mumbled and grabbed and apple from the kitchen counter, he still had some time.

"Maybe you should get a real job." His mom shot back and Calum rolled his eyes, his mother still crucified him for not going to university and getting a useless job. In reality, designing websites wasn't even Calum's job but his mother couldn't know that. "And your sister, followed your footsteps, I can't believe it. My two oldest children, working on websites."

"Mother, I'm tired of you talkin' shit about my work whenever I decide to visit, maybe that's why Kate never comes home anymore. All you do is put us down for not going to uni, we make more money in a month than you and dad put together and we're doing what we love so start accepting it." Calum said loud and clearly to make sure his mom understood every word that left his lips, the boy wasn't sure if web designers made that much money but he he did except doing other thing his mother didn't need to know about.

With that being said, Calum raised himself from the stool and walked to the living room to say goodbye to his little brother, Hades.

"Hey, kiddo. I'm leaving, gimme a hug." When hearing Calum's words, Hades redirected his gaze from the TV to his big brother.

"You're leaving already? Did you have a fight with mom again?" Hades pouted and hugged his brother tightly.

"Yeah, you know how she is. Don't worry, next weekend Kate and I will come get you and go to the beach or something, I promise." The older brother linked his pinky with Hades and placed a kiss on his cheek before leaving the young boy to watch TV.
