My mother asked no questions. Ever since then I been performing at talent shows in elementary school, middle school, and even high school. And I always gotten first place. By my bedside is a picture of Angel. It's the first thing I see in the morning and the last thing I see before going to bed. At 5:30, my mother calls me downstairs for dinner. Even though I know my mother can cook, sometimes she feels like take out.
"Hey Jet. I haven't seen you almost all day. What were you doing up there?" my mom asked.
"Oh the usual; play video games, text friends, texting Angel, watching movies, and listening to music." I said sarcastically with a smile.
"Jet, please tell me you were joking." my mother said.
"Yes mom, I was joking." I replied. Now most of the time I am serious. I use a little humor here and there. At that moment, my mother asked me,
"So if you didn't do those things, what were you doing?"
"I was doing English homework, life skills, and Russian homework." I commented
