Chapter 5: Karaoke night

I look in from the door just absorbing the music, my mouth hanging open wide. She continued to sing, glancing at me from time to time.

We are one, like the sky is to the stars

We are one, take my breath and I am yours

We are one as you open my heart

Running out of air

It took my breath away by the value in her song and how she sang made it more mesmerizing. Sorry, am I just exaggerating to make her look good? Oops.

"You are taking me there."

After a few minutes of gaping mouths she finished and walked right toward me breaking me out of the trance and tried to act casual. Stay calm, she probably just wants to know why your here. I thought still trying to act casual.

"Hey Johnathan, what brings you here?"

Nailed it! I think in achievement

"I just kinda came to see what you were talking about. You're a awesome singer by the way!"

"Thanks." she said, attempting to shrug off the achievement. "You came a bit late though, karaoke night ends in about..." she quickly glances at the clock, while I quickly look at my clock and do very quick math "5 minutes."

"7 minutes and a half to be exact." I grin making the feeling of achievement last

She rolls her eyes and laughs "Of course. 7 minutes and a half."

After Karaoke night ended I left the auditorium, and walked toward my room room to do something, but as I walked by the throne room and I saw the king with a type of blueprint or some kind of plans, but I pay little attention to it.

"MISTER MISTER!" a little squid screams swimming toward me.

"Excuse me?"

"SIR I...I am your BIGGEST FAN!"

"Oh, um what do you need."

"Can you come to the science fair! In the storage wing down there!"he points toward a hall way.

"When is it?"

"You need tickets to get in, you mind if you make one and show mine off?"he says a bit more calmly, handing me a ticket.

"Sure why not I don't have anything else t do." I shrug.

He leaves and I look at the ticket. Then to my surprise I find a second ticket underneath.

I start to run toward the way he went but he was gone. I look at the tickets and look at the time: Saturday 6:35 A.M.

I walk back to the room and put the tickets on my desk and sigh. I look over at the desk I made for Kaila and set down a ticket

"Maybe she will want to come." I mumble under my breath.

I set out of my room leaving the room locked behind me.

I head for the auditorium to see what Kaila was doing but before I head in I hear some voices.

"Who was that boy you were taking to?" A strange voice says.

"Oh John he's just a room mate." Kaila responds.

I stand back trying to process it then I step back again.

"The surprised look on his face was priceless when he saw you on stage!"

I think back to the time I did look very funny but Kaila will back me up.

"Yeah, I know." she says

"I think he might have a crush on you!!"

I stand there backing up. I mean, hey maybe I do, but they can't know!...can they?

I start down the hall toward a unknown wing of the huge squid base and find an abandoned room and sit there crying then a flash of light hits me.

"Johnathan! JOHNATHAN!" A familiar voice yells.

An image...no a small movie relays in my mind.

"Jonhathan, where are you going!" The voice continues.

I image my self with tan skin and blond hair walking down a side walk then it stops leaving me alone...in a room...in a underwater base.

Then the door opened.
