Chapter 7: New Roomie

I wake up in my bed, my head killing me.

"How did I get here?" I grumble holding my head. I quickly sit up looking around

"what the Nether..." I mumble... seems I am not a morning person. Kaila is gone, the messy bed shows this, the covers in disarray. As I get up I feel something holding me down, I look in my pockets and find 2 water bottles. One was full and another was half empty. The sight of these bottles made the memories run into me like a mad pig. The gold, Darklord158, and the store room, the everything. Red from the pillow showed that I was knocked unconscious and a note was just barely sticking out with rushed handwriting.

"Dear John (or whoever you think you are)

I will have left the base for good after you finish reading this note, I did know that you were in the squid kingdom but I did not expect you to be turned over so soon. The sky army and I have a way to change you back to your original form if you want to. And I have bugged your new room to keep an eye on you.

I read it over once or twice before I realized that they were hinting on "recruiting" me. All of a sudden a squid knocked on my door very very (very) loudly scaring me out of my skin.

"Hello?" The squid yelled in a demanding tone. I rush over and open the door to find a squid guard waiting for my answer. The guard looks at me in a half shocked half expression less.

"The king will want you now... Maybe you should go after you are in a presentable clothes." I stare down at my clothes and realize that my creeper shirt was losing its green and my watch was scraped up, I almost couldn't see the Roman Numerals. I thank him and close the door and sprint to the bathroom and was meet by my reflection, my hair was out of whack and when I touch the back of my head blood appeared on my fingers.

After 10 minutes or so I was in new clothes, the shirt was a dark blue t-shirt with a squid on it and my pants were almost the same thing I had on but blue.

"Sorry I am late" I say as I rush into the throne room panting.

"I have been expecting you" the king booms

" Why am I not sur-"

"As you probably don't know we have recently had more people move into the kingdom... And to make way for a new residential wing so we destroyed the store room... And since we have more room we can give you and Kaila appropriate roommates. Here are some directions to your new room."

I could protest but I felt that would be rude to a king that brought me in, so I took the directions and found that it was across the entire building. As I walk off the king continues in a cheery tone.

"I even heard that your roommate is just like you"

I sigh as I follow the directions and the amulet around my neck softly bounced of my chest. This was the first time I really payed any attention to this amulet as it's purple jewel sparkled as I walked by the windows. The walk to my new room took so little time I was startled by the new hallway, I walked down the long hallway, seeing my new room was 572. When I reached it the door was slightly open, touching my curiosity. All of a sudden a random stranger opens the door and almost walks into me.

"U-umm hello" I stutter oblivious to what may happen next.

"Hello" the stranger quickly replies almost confused by my sudden appearance "You must be my new room mate"
