Suddenly, things change, new faces appear and old ones are in danger of disappearing completely and there are new chasms that are wider than the oceans that separate her from her friends. New difficulties and divisions seem to spring up and secrets make demands on her loyalties that may leave her coming undone.
She knew a life with horses would be difficult but the people around her seem intent on making it more so, while life seems to enjoy kicking her when she's down and she begins to feel like it may spiral out of control.
