Soooo since you guys were so worried about Phillip in the last chapter I thought I'd give you another update and bring him back, don't worry he's not going any where! ;)

Let me know how you feel about this one, where you think the story is going and who's going to cause trouble.

The wonderful banner is from FannyX3. Isn't it just awesome? Thank you Fanny! <3

I must apologise for it being a short one but there are some super long ones coming up soon!

Any way, I hope you guys enjoy this one!

“You look good!”  Val smiled up at me and snapped a shot on her phone as I beamed down at her. I had been at the doctor at break of dawn that morning to have the cast removed, no literally, I had arrived before he had and I wouldn’t let him finish his coffee until he had taken it off. From there it had been straight back to THS and onto a horses back.

“I feel good,” I laughed and gave Johnny a pat, flicking a persistent piece of mane over to the right side of his neck. “I’ll see you later,” I smiled and pointed Johnny towards a hacking track.

We ambled along happily in the weak British spring sunshine. I took a deep breath and exhaled, feeling at home once again and in a better mood than I had been in weeks.

“Hey Lexi!”  I heard the call and turned in my saddle to see Kristina cantering up behind me, I slowed up and waited for her.

“Hey,” I smiled as she pulled up next to me and I leaned over to pat her horses steaming neck.

“Mind if I walk with you, I gotta cool this one out,” she drawled and we set off together on the sand track.

“So how does it feel to be back on a horse?” She gestured towards my arm.

“Amazing,” I laughed, “I think I’m on a little bit of a high.”

“I can imagine,” She agreed and we wandered on in companionable silence. Over the past few weeks we’d settled into a comfortable friendship or acquaintanceship or whatever it was. Anyway, we weren’t at each other’s throats. I didn’t exactly agree with everything she did but I was trying to bite my tongue, for the sake of the détente.

A détente was exactly what I was trying to keep with Nat’s, who was playing best friend and acting like I hadn’t been a bitch but we both knew I had crossed a line. I wasn’t sure how long the act would last. Or, how exactly I was meant to make up for it.

“So, any special plans for a celebration?”  Kristina interrupted the guilt fest I was having.

“Oh,” I laughed, “Well actually I just found out my boyfriend’s flying over for the weekend so that’s a pretty special.”

“Wow, yeah! Nice boyfriend!”  She paused and I shot a look at her, feeling the air thick with whatever she was wondering. “You’re dating Phillip Andou right?”

“Yeah,” I could hear Angie’s warning in the back of my mind but I shut it out. I was not going to let a little gossip get under my skin and ruin my good mood. There was quiet, a strained kind of quiet. I tried to resuscitate the conversation but it died and Kristina had zoned out with a strange kind of look on her face.
