Chapter #7

~Miyu’s POV~

You slowly opened your eyes and then jolted up in bed instantly regretting the decision. You grabbed your shoulder confused and then a wave of memory surfaced and you looked around frantically.

“You’re awake.” His voice said near you. You spun around wincing through the pain and watched Sven get up from his chair.

“Sven!” You exclaimed. “Are you alright? She didn’t hurt you did she?” Sven chuckled a bit at your reaction.

“Don’t worry about me. You’re the one we were worried about. You took a real beating back there.” Sven said and you made a face.

“It was nothing I couldn’t handle.” You argued and he smiled at you.

“Riiiight.” Sven said walking to the door. “Well get some rest. I’m going to go out and see if I can find Falene or Train. Wherever they are, they’re probably together.” He said.

“Oh, what about Ren and Yokuto? Are they okay?” You asked before he left. He smiled and gestured down the hall.

“They’re in the living room with Eve. If you need anything just ask them.” You nodded and Sven started to close the door.

“Hey Sven?” You called just before the door closed. He opened it again.

“Yeah?” He asked and your eyes softened as a warm smile filled your face.

“Thanks.” You said sweetly. Sven blushed a bit and nodded.

“No problem at all.” He said and closed the door. After he left, your room felt awfully quiet and empty. You stared at your still blood-stained hands as you replayed the event.

~Flashback~

“MIYU!” A boy’s voice yelled. You glanced over to look at him and seen Ren and Sven running to you. It was Sven who had yelled. Some shots were fired back and forth then Sven was by your side. “Miyu! Are you alright? Can you hear me?” Sven asked and you nodded as you sat up.

“She shot me.” You stated nodding to your shoulder.

“I can see that. Come on, we have to get out of here.” Sven said hurriedly.

“Look out!” Ren’s voice yelled. You turned around and felt like you were watching the scene play out through someone else’s eyes. Kotori’s gun was pointed at you and your eyes contracted as Sven’s body moved in front of you and blocked your sight. You heard the gun shot, you seen the impact and you felt the blood. Then there was a scream and tears were falling onto you. You looked down at Sven who was now laying on the ground and instantly started moving. One hand started putting pressure on the wound and the other slid into his hand.

“Sven!” You exclaimed as blood gushed through your fingers. “Help! Someone help us!” You yelled out frantically. “Call an ambulance!”

“That’s it.” Kotori’s cold voice said. “Scream and cry. I want to see the terror in your eyes.” That’s when you snapped. You pulled out Cratos feeling the rage build up in you to an amount that you were nearly ready to explode.

“You bitch.” You said darkly.

“Call me whatever you like. The end result will be the same.” She said shrugging unconcerned.

“You’re right.” You said standing up. You gently eased your hand out of Sven’s though he tried to hold on with whatever strength he had.

“Miyu,” Sven whispered, almost a whimper. You gently slid away from him trying to avoid the heart throbbing in your chest.
