~Falene’s POV~

Running from danger was juvenile and you weren’t a fan of it. The fight had been brought to you on your home turf, which should have been an advantage, but it was also supremely unexpected. You were a ghost to the world so no one had ever known your location other than Cronos. Someone else being able to find you was alarming. It made you worry about everyone’s safety, specifically pertaining to Miyu and Train.

Speaking of Train, you glanced over at him as you both continued to run. He was slightly ahead of you leading the way to presumably a safe house. He hadn’t looked at you since you started running other than to glance back and make sure everyone was still there. You picked up your pace slightly so that you were running side-by-side. He didn’t look in your direction but his face hardened instantly.

“Train—” You ventured but he cut you off.

“Not now.” It was surprisingly sharp and abrupt causing you to flinch from his tone.

“Look, I just—”

“I said, not now.” His eyes were angry as they glared at the path ahead of him. You blinked then glanced behind you at Sven and Miyu. They both were staring until they met your eyes then they looked in another direction. You turned so you were looking at the path for a moment then tried again.

“I’m sorry I—”

“Leave it alone Falene!” Train’s voice was hostile and you flinched almost as though he had hit you. His body language was screaming at you to back up, to get away from him before he got really mad and his face was closed off from you. It was kind of reasonable for him to be angry with you considering you had told him to never touch you again and drew your gun on all of them. You had overreacted maybe just a little bit.

“I wanted to—”

“I don’t care Falene.” He turned to you now, his golden orbs glaring at you clearly hurt by how you acted earlier. “I don’t care what you do. Do whatever you want. Just leave me alone.” His eyes left your face and he quickened his pace quickly putting distance between the two of you. You watched him gain a few strides on you until your pace slowed and even Miyu and Sven were ahead of you. Shortly after, you allowed yourself to come to a complete stop. You watched them all run on, your eyes fixated on the back of Train’s head. You waited a moment and looked at the ground in front of you sighing.

“God I’m an idiot.” You mumbled to yourself.

 ~Train’s POV~

You were trying so hard to wear an angry face as Falene gradually started falling behind. You wanted to be mad at her for what she had done. But the truth was that you had already forgiven her. You had forgiven her the moment you seen her running towards you back in the city to be honest. That felt like it was too soon though. She had disappeared for several hours after all.

You heard Sven and Miyu’s footsteps come to a stop and you slowed as well. They were watching you when you looked at them. You raised an eyebrow.

“How long are you going to play the ‘make-her-feel-guilty’ card?” Sven asked as Miyu crossed her arms.

“What are you talking about?” You asked casually. Sven gave you a look and then crossed his arms as well. You looked passed them at Falene who had stopped a good 50 feet back. She was staring at the ground with both arms hanging by her sides. She looked defeated and tired.

And injured.

Your jaw dropped a little bit at the sight of her. She had bruises forming on her arms and cheek, a few gashes in similar locations and she was covered with dirt, leaves and grass presumably from being knocked down. She was not in good condition.
