Pain. What is it? Does it hurt? Where? How? As little kids we never learn that we have to protect ourselves. We grow older and realize there are many things we need to save ourselves from. Sometimes from people, from weather and even sometimes from ourselves, from our hearts. We are a danger to ourselves. We let them get in our heads. Those monsters you hide with a smile. Dying from the inside, you try to hide it from everyone. You fail many more times than you do succeed. You let them in. You let them destroy you. You give the them the power. You stand up as high as you can but they cut you down. You let them cut you. Don't let them cut you. You choose if you are or aren't. The path you take, it's determined by you. You choose who you are, who you want to be and who you will be. This is your choice, make it, don't regret it. Don't give the them the power. Don't give the knife. The key is in your hand.
