Lies. We are told many of these in the existence of our life time. Some we know of and others not. And some of them hurt. Why? Because those who told us were the ones closest to us. The ones we trusted. We go to them in the time of need, a time of hope to heal, but instead we are backstabbed and hurt over and over again. We fall down, get hurt and go back to them. They turn their backs on us and yet still, we beg them to turn around. We love them more than any one could. And still they leave us in the dust. In the end, we finally after being beaten and bruised, we learn the truth. They never cared. Then we realize they were a drug. A drug we needed to survive, to live, to breathe off, and now we learn to wean ourselves off of them. They're toxic. They hurt us. They kill us. We learn to live without them. And then, they come back. Dragging us to the beginning of the cycle again. And through and through we go again. Addicted.
