Ontari's PoV:
This was all working out perfectly. Lexa had been left for dead, Clarke was off trying to stop a non existent girl and Titus had tried to shoot people so nobody trusted him. They were all falling apart. And now? Now it's Ontari's time to shine! I will become the next Commander. This Empire is weak. It needs to be stronger. They teach stuff in this school that you would only need as a stuck up New Californian. No combat skills. Nothing. It was a wonder we're still alive living like this.

I knew I couldn't go to Polis Capital straight away, for Clarke was headed there. Plus, it would've seemed too suspicious that I suddenly disappeared. I'd go back to class and wait until school was over, then take a back route to the capital. I couldn't wait too long though, because I needed Clarke as a hostage to get to Lexa. I could read her like a book. She so has a thing for Clarke. With Clarke's life on the line, she'll bow to me. She'll have no choice. I tried this with Costia, and unfortunately it only went as far as her stepping down from wanting to be a Commander, so I had to kill Costia off. Clarke? She was different. Clarke was special somehow. I could see it in her eyes. Clarke was the girl's weakness, and all I had to do was exploit it.

Octavia's PoV:
"Who the hell is the golden one?" Lincoln looked at me, confused.
"Beats me," I responded.
"Maybe we should go and find Indra now," Lincoln offered me his hand as I took it and stood up, neither of us letting go when we began walking.

"I'm sure Lexa will be okay," I said to him, the first time I personally bought up Lexa.
"I hope so," Lincoln looked grim, "she's like a sister to me..."
"Let's just try and find the others, then we'll worry about Lexa," I squeezed his hand.
"And Clarke," Lincoln sighed. "This is the issue with leaders. They all make bad decisions, because they're all too stubborn to admit when they're wrong. And then they just get themselves into a bunch of shit. Lexa got herself lost and knowing how long she's been gone she's probably injured too. And I don't know about Clarke but she seems like the type to have he tendency to do the same."
"She does," I sighed. "But she's also a great leader. Even if she causes trouble for herself, most of the time she will be helping us. Obviously, at times, she also causes trouble for us. That kinda sucks. But at the end of the day she is what she is. And there's nothing any of us can do to stop that. She's always been superior to everyone else. Even the Chancellor of Arkadia to some extent."
"Lexa is similar," Lincoln chuckled. "I guess to be a great leader you've also got to make rash decisions that could turn out with bad consequences, and will from time to time."
"Yeah," I smiled.

We'd not been walking for long before I heard Raven's unmistakable voice.
"This city is a piece of crap! No tech or anything! If our cell phones worked out here that'd be great but this stupid signal is the worst thing next to Chancellor Jaha."
"How dare you disrespect Trikru!" Indra spat.
"Indra!" Lincoln called out, and both Raven and Indra's heads snapped towards us.
"Raven, oh my god!" I called out in relief and ran towards her, pulling her into an awesome hug. She was always a great hugger.
"Hey, Octopus, you found us," she grinned.
"Nice hair Little Bird," I smirked at her. She'd gotten dirt and pieces of trees and bushes caught in her locks.
"Shut up," she pushed me playfully.
"Indra," Lincoln looked at his friend. "Take notes. That's friendship goals."
Indra rolled her eyes, but hugged Lincoln nonetheless. I grinned.
"Have either of you found Lexa," Raven asked.
"Does it really look like we have a tall brunette with us?" I was shocked at Raven's stupidity.
"Okay, the lack of technology is fucking with my brain okay," she groaned.
I laughed at my best friend.
"Look, Bell went off with Murphy and Tit face looking for Lexa, so let's go find them all. We need to regroup," I said. We really did, for it was becoming rather stressful being split apart.
"I agree," Indra said.
"You do?" I was surprised, and rather pleased. All I'd really wanted was Indra's approval.
"Of course," Indra even smiled at me. "You're wise, Octavia of Arkadia."
I blushed, and Lincoln squeezed my hand.
"Thank you," I smiled, and we all set off in the same direction this time.
