My one true love... (COMPLETE)

Just keep swimming

It's been two beautiful days in Mexico and I'm loving the time with Raj. Just us alone. On a private island. Me and Raj. We have plans today to swim in the beautiful clear blue waters surrounding the island. Well... More like plans to teach me how to swim. I've never had the interest to go jump in a pool and swim. Growing up I always loved stuffing my nose in a romantic novel. Then in school my main priority was good grades. During the summer time I would go to the book store every Friday and buy 2 new books. In high school I tried putting myself out there and it didn't work that well. But one day while I was at a small get together I met Gina. She didn't fit in either and thats how we became the best of friends. We ended up going to the same college and so I saw her a lot. Then we both had plans to move to San Fransisco, except she would move in with her soon to be husband and me? I had to move in with my parents. I never needed to know how to swim. Raj said he would teach me, I trust him because in high school he was on a swim team and won first place quite a lot. Currently I trying to figure out what to wear, I didn't bring a swimming costume. Correction, I don't have a swimming costume. Raj went to the main land for some things which I wasn't aloud to know about and should be back soon.
"You look like an idiot" I heard a voice behind me say. I jumped and turned around seeing Raj with some bags in his hands.
"You try putting together a swimming outfit." I said crossing my arms and he laughed.
"Here" he said throwing a bag at me. I barely caught it and some clothing fell on the floor. I bent down and picked them up. 6. 6 swimming costumes. I picked them up and placed them on the bed.
"Really Raj?" I said picking up a pink two piece swimming costume.
"It's what they had, chose the bathing suit you want and I'll go change" he said going into the bathroom. I ended up going with a blue one piece. It looked the best and by the time I was ready so was Raj.
"You look beautiful" he said walking into the bedroom smiling at me.
"You need to put on a shirt" I said. I swear this guy has something against shirts.
"I'm good" he said walking over to me.
"Ready to learn how to swim" Raj said pulling me close to him.
"As ready as I'll ever be" I said smiling. He picked me up bridal style and grabbed two towels from the bathroom. He carried me downstairs and all the way down to the clear spot on the beach. An umbrella and two lounge chairs were sitting in the sand. I smiled and knew he set this up, we reached the seats and Raj placed me down. My feet touched the warm sand and I laughed. This was a new feeling, I never had really been a beach or let my toes dig into the sand. Raj placed the towels on the seat and smiled at me. I intwined out hands together and we started walking towards the blue waters. I stopped when the water touched my feet and I giggled at the sensation. Raj ran into the water and swam out, he came up a few seconds later and was further then me.
"Walk towards me" he said running his hand through his wet hair.
"But your to far" I said digging my toes in the wet sand.
"No I'm not, come baby you can do it" Raj said smiling. I walked into the water until it reached my belly button and hesitated to go further.
"I can't go further" I said. Raj dunked his head underwater. Seconds later popping right in front of me.
"Wrap your legs around me" he said and I did what he said. I felt myself holding on to him like it was the only thing keeping me alive. We swam further away from the shore making me a bit nervous.
"You must learn the basics, so first learn how float. Release your legs and just kick" he said. I looked at him and he laughed at the expression I was giving him.
"I won't let go until your comfortable" he said reassuring me. I unwrapped my legs from around his waist and started kicking my feet while holding on tightly to his hands. I felt like I wasn't doing it right and failing.
"You want to float Meera, don't kick so hard. Just move around slowly and you'll get the hang of it." Raj said. I did exactly what he said to do and I looked up to see him smiling.
"There you go baby, you got it" Raj said. After an hour of him telling me more instructions, I learned how to float and basic swim. We had fun and swam around chasing each other as the day passed by. As the energy started draining out of me I decided to just relax. I went back to the shore and when the sand was covering my feet I laughed. I walked to the chairs and grabbed a towel. I sat down and kicked my feet up taking in the sun. After a couple minutes my sun was blocked by something and I opened my one eye to see Raj smiling down at me.
"Your blocking my sun" I said and he laughed before sitting down next to me. We stayed out for a while just enjoying ourselves, relaxing in the sun and occasionally running through the water.
"We should go in, the Suns going down" Raj said and I turned to look at him. He looked ready to go inside and have a shower. I wrapped my towel around me and stood up.
"Ready?" Raj said placing a kiss on my cheek.
"Haan" I said returning the kiss. He picked me up and I wrapped my arms around his neck for support. He walked us back to the house and before we went inside he put me down and grabbed the hose from around the side of the house. He rinsed our sandy feet and dried them with his towel. He picked me up once more and carried me inside, and up to the bedroom.
"You take your shower here, I'll take mine in the guest bedroom" he said said placing a kiss on my lips. He tasted salty and it made me laugh.
"Okay" I said placing one more kiss on his lips before taking my shower. I washed all the sand off my body and put on sweatpants with my favorite t shirt. I finished by brushing my teeth and braiding my hair to the side. I walked out of the bathroom and laid down on the bed, I was beat. I stretched my arms and yawned when I felt arms wrapping around my waist. Raj was wearing joggers and a v neck shirt. He smelled clean and fresh, he had tiredness swirling in his eyes. I wrapped my arms around him and snuggling my head on his chest. He grabbed the curtains and closed them securing us in the bed. I wrapped the blue blanket around us and started drifting into the most peaceful sleep ever... Not ready for what was about to happen...
